Hi Wishful i really think you'l be grand to go on the 12th and i think you'd regret waiting til march but thats my opinion its just i think its a long enough process waiting for restriction theres no point in adding a extra month if u feel ok and im much happier today and very thankful to fred for giving me 1ml cos i feel i really needed it he said it wasnt good enough that i have no restriction and decided to give me the ml so lets hope it treats me well

Well im just home from getting my fill guess what i got a ml yes 1ml i thought id have to battle to get .5ml but fred said when i had no restriction he felt this should do it for me and hopefully not need a fill for 6months i have to say he was absolutely great today and very nice im actually nervous about getting so much cos damm can i feel the liquids go down like a golf ball but it is going down so i hope this is it for me will be interesting to see how i get on when i start eating once i didnt get overfilled i dont care how tight i am umm oh yes dr chris has now got a full time un fill nurse in ireland which is really great and really puts minds at rest must say im thrilled with the treatment today and i lost 5.5kg this month which fred was very happy about so thats my story for now

Yeah if there was just a little more in the aftercare it would be great but i suppose im a little more content this eve and so happy i actually done a little exercise cos iv been on about doing it since i got the band and done nothing til now so iv made a start so im happy enough about time i got my ass moving even though i have no ass lol all my weight is on the top and oh my belly is discusting its getting wrinkly and saggy from the weight loss already i can imagine what it wil be like when i lose all the weight also my boobs are saggy as hell whats going on im only 25 they should be sitting perk lol

Woohoo i got on the treadmill after all only done 20mins but it was at speed of 4mile per hr and high incline all up hill if i do that 5days a wk and go to water aerobics 3days a wk im sure it'l have to do something as i do no exercise at all not a tap and i can gradually build up the walking oh and dr chris replied like i thought he said frederik will be doing the dublin clinic for some months which im not overjoyed about he said he has all my medical info and can perform the same quality as he does umm???? he also said it can take 6 to 7ml before restriction can come to some people and they can not take chance of overfill as in ireland its next to impossible to get defill and i must say i fully respect that as i wouldnt fancy a overfill so maybe im just impatient cos before the op i knew it would be a bit of a waiting game so i should stop complaining eh did i leave anything else out oh he said if u do not follow a rational diet and exercise u will wait much longer for weight loss but i defo know since getting the band i have worked damm hard i might of been lazy up to now with exercise but defo not with my diet im proud to say and with no help of the band YET but i know it will kick in soon i must say the band has changed my mentality towards food if that makes sense it hasnt stopped me eating at all but cos i know its in there i think more about what i eat and just changed my thinking made me more determined look atme rambling on once again time to shut up

Ah thats great u do hiking i wish i could get myself into something like that i liked and and others to do it with me im still sitting here drinking coffee and smoking dreading getting on the treadmill but my poor mum splashed out the guts of 2grand for it i better put it use but im putting it off all day but its constantly in my head if id just get on it id be grand such a lazy bitch lol

Ah thanks bigsister for the support im just mortified if chris or fred read this forum anyway thursday will soon be here and we'l see how it go's... I have my treadmill out ready for action this eve gona start doing at least 2hours a wk on it im sure it'l help as i never do any exercise i hope it'l speed up the process a little it'l defo be a shock to the system lol

Oh god bigsister i wish a few more would mail and back me up cos me alone wont make a difference other than make myself know to them as a complainer and difficult patient id really love to go to wendy but as times are tight im trying to hold on to money but i have the money no probs if it comes to going to her even though i have dropped half stone over the wkend which im very shocked at but im wondering if its fluid as im going to the loo alot and drinking major amounts of coffee but i was thrilled cos the scales havnt moved no matter how hard i tried in ages so if its a true loss im down 4st 7lbs so i suppose i havnt done bad for being banded 5 an a half months but god i worked hard on my own for every lb i need the band to help me do the rest of the work

I still dont think its exactly a money spinner cos i know how much id hate a overfill even though i havnt stopped giving out about the fills i think maybe their being cautious as well as making money cos i know in ireland if u get a overfill there are little or no places to get a defill unlike uk but at this stage i dont have a clue i just know im 5and a half months out from surgery and want this band to give me a little help

Hi donegallad im doing ok have just over 4st off since september being having fills since october but still dont have restriction but i must say dr chris is brilliant there is a more recent thread on dr chris called anyone know of dr chris de bruyne which everyone is on and u can chat to people just banded and a few girls getting banded in march...

Ok iv just mailed dr chris just saying about no restriction and asking how much of a fill can i expect to get thursday also has he stopped coming to dublin cos a lot of people are asking im afraid i didnt have the balls to mention fred but il see if i get a reply

Hi angie do u think we should mail him im real pissed off especially when u hear the care wls are giving im not impressed at least if his wee sidekick was nice but i dont know what to do just mad i think dr chris should know cos he defo wouldnt want people being mad over aftercare i only seen him once in dublin since august and that was my first fill and remember that day fred couldnt reall fill said dr chris was more experienced and could i wait to see him after lunch

Hi gillian yeah gettin frustrated now but not much i can do... But yeah id defo mail dr chris if i had back up of a few others mailing to i dont wana be a awkward customer and fred take a major dislike to me id never get to sweet spot lol but defo chris is excellent at his job i wouldnt go to anyone else just a pity about his sidekick lol

Oh never mind me shoes this day 5wks you'l be having ur op oh i can remember how excited i was and also how much i ate in those wks dr chris said low fat diet for 2wks i ate loads of chicken and stuff and all the shit of the day in between so dont worry bout pre op and if u dont stick to it its not end of the world cos i certainly didnt stick to it lol

My advice is defo go to wendy i wish i had to of in the start cos god all the extra advice u get and also the fact wendy spends so much time with u and things are xplained fully and questions answered i think for me it would of made my band journey that bit easier she also told bobobaldy that she aims/tries to get u to restriction in 3fills god how good would that be anyway im hoping this fill should do it for me please fingers crossed everyone lol but iv decided if im getting no where after this fill i will go see wendy i really think myself and and anyone else who have had a fill with fred and wern't happy with service should mail dr chris and let him know im sure he'd sort him out and dr chris isnt gona want any bad reports about his service my prob is just with the aftercare fred gives us

Hey shoes yeah wls do fills in dublin and belfast i was gona go to them except i had my 3rd fill by time i found out about them and i didnt think it was worth my while changing then but if i had to do it again i would go to wendy but there was also part of me afraid if i left my surgeon and something went wrong he'd pass the blame silly i know but i think too much lol as for restriction i had tiny tiny bit for 2wks after last fill but nothing now and nothing before just like i never had the band except if i eat something too quick il get sick i just want restriction

Hi kath ment to say thanks for info on ur band size etc im defo gona push for more of a fill this time its getting to be a joke it'l be my 5th fill and i want to get some result out of it i wish we had access to fills every 2wks but im not a huge frederik fan i find him quite intimidating and hard to talk to but im gona psych myself up this time and not be pushed over but also at the stage im at 5.75ml im terrified of a overfill i know he said my next fill would just be .25ml so if i get .5ml il be happy dont wana push it too much just in case but hes just so unapproachable

Hi shoes im grand drinking can gulp away but must say i drink feck all i was never too good at gettin fluids in like i said earlier this will be my 5th fill i just take skin hair and nail vitamin they have all ur vitamins in there but really aimed at skin hair and nails i took them even before the op i dont think u really need vitamins but theres no harm in it

Hey i know exactly what u mean about fills with frederik its a big rush i go in wanting to ask questions and come out without asking one this will be my 5th fill im not leaving this time without at least .5ml cos i know he said id only be getting .25ml and i know from last time as little as .5ml can make a difference i currently have 5.75mls i think fred is very sweet but it comes accross false also i think his scales is always wrong i know the fills are €120 dont know what they are in sterlin but at the current rate they would be expensive but demand more time with him and ask the questions u want to im putting my foot down from now on even though fingers crossed i wont need another fill for a while as i really hope il get restriction with this one

Oh and sammy yeah id phone him just to make sure things are booked as u want them i had 2people coming with me and phoned him just to make sure he had extra room booked does no harm and can put ur mind at ease

Hey wishful i had my fill 4wks after op no problem and as for appointments if u go on the 12th feb i gurantee u'l be seen and get ur fill and TRUST ME u will be so glad u didnt wait a extra month it would be torture for you's i would strongly advise going in feb

Hi i had my op in belgium with dr chris de bruyne cost €4070 thats for op hotel for 2people for 3nights and all taxis i cant speak high enough of this surgeon he comes to various parts of uk and ireland once a month to do aftercare and fills which is €120 he is one of the leading surgeons in this field if u go to the doctors and hospitals part of forum u will see a thread anyone know of dr de bruyne and u will see all the girls on there share their experience the hospital in belgium was excellent u email dr chris directly at chris.debruyne@advalvas.be i was waiting 5wks for the op i cant speak highly enough of him so check out that thread u will find it very usefull i think his website is obesity-assist just cant remember but email him direct he'l mail u back wanting to know some info then his manager wil get on to u i went with the package so all i had to sort was flights but u can just pay for op and sort everthing urself which is between €3500 - 3950 but the package is extremely handy
