  1. I was banded in oct. I drink beer every now and then. Would Love to drink it often, But it makes my left side hurt. This seems to happen to me if I eat to fast,to much, or if I am not chewing well. Doctor said probably my pouch being overfilled causing the pain. Problem resolves when I get back to regular eating pattern. It is hard being the food addict I am following all the rules all the time, but I pay when I do not. I love my band and have lost about 45pds but it is rough sometimes.
  2. Please let me know how it comes out. I have not lost all of my weight yet, was banded in oct, but this something I will have to research as I get closer to goal. Does it help with loose skin or just make it worst? hope the pain continues to just be minimal as you heal
  3. Please tell me what smartlipo is and is it invasive, meaning do they cut you and insert tube like the regular Lipo.
  4. Going for first fill on Friday, have question, I know you have to be fasting I think 3 hours, but what about fluids? Can i have my coffee and creamer before I go?
  5. you can purchase long pants, just about anywhere, these days, used to be that they were hard to find, but I think even walmart has talls now. hope this helps, I hope I get to tummy tuck stage someday. Just banded 6 wks ago, so not ready for that yet.
  6. do not feel guilty, you proably already lived that life before the band. Move on try not to fall into that guilt mold. It is unhealthy and only grows and adds to destructive behavior. You have lost alot of weight. You will loss the last few pounds. Have a treat once in awhile. Maybe the return to emotional eating has to do with continued dieting even with the band. I believe the dieting and monitoring every bite ,ended when I was banded on Oct 14, 2008. I know I have to get my protein in, but I am not going to measure and worry about it anymore, I believe that is what got me to the shape I am in now. Don't get me wrong I will follow the band rules so as to not cause problems, and I think for health everyone should exercise, but no more obscessing over food. You have done great I wish you continued wt loss and a happy healthy life. Quit feeling guilty
  7. yeah, for the wine. ha ha. Been scared to drink any alcohol yet because of eating so little it will good straight to my head.
  8. I was banded oct 14. I experienced the same things, you are still healing. Are you getting in enough calories and protein? It really does make a difference on how you feel. Sometimes I think my body is in shock because it is not used to eating so little.
  9. My surgery date is oct 14, I start liquids a week before that, I have been eating like crazy and it is almost making me sick. I feel like all those times when I was going to start another diet on Monday so I ate like crazy the week before. I guess my bmi will be really high by the time my banding gets here.
  10. Went to seminars at nortons and st mary's. liked st mary's better. Have had first Dr. appointment with Dr. Shuster at St Mary's waiting on insurance now so I can move forward. have anthem federal. Have been waiting since aug 8. thats when my appoint was. The waiting is hard.
