Welcome to the group! My surgery is the 18th and I'm so excited. What are you doing to prepare?

I am preparing and testing out recipes for once the liquid and post-op diet come in. I'm a big advocate of eating clean and not consuming items that can interfere with gut bacteria. Since the healing is so important and that environment is being so compromised. I have been working real close with my nutritionist to get that property types of Vitamins and minerals, omegas, and liquid versions of Calcium and magnesium. SO just doing a lot of research,food tests and prep as well as everyday meditating on a successful surgery and recovery. Trying to attack it from all aspects

I’m 3 weeks out from bypass and I feel like a new person! You will not regret doing this. It is the best thing I have ever done for me!
I’ve lost 30 lbs, and I feel amazing! I had NO pain post op. No gas, no pain, I never needed pain meds, and I am not hungry. I could not be happier!

I also had 2 months of pre-op testing for insurance and 2 weeks while they review everything. My insurance picked up 97% of the bill which was $70,000. It was ALL worth it!
