  1. My band was removed for the 2nd and last time this weekend. I am very scared about future but also hopeful not to have to deal with the band issues as well.

The first time it slipped I had no pain, but had some heart burn and reflux. The 2nd time I had lots of pain and very few issues. With 2 slips there really was no choice but to remove the band. My Dr. is not one for talking much so not sure if there were other options or not. The way I see it is that there is some reason that the band will not work in my body anymore and I am glad that I had it taken out when I did and did not wait until it had gotten worse. Feeling pretty good 3 days out and able to eat what I want. I am glad i had it done and but am glad too i think to be free of the issues of it as well. Back to reg person trying to lose weight.

  2. Hello All,

I need a little help. I just had my first fill yesterday and ate my first real meal. I am not sure if I overate or if I did not chew well. I ending up hurting and spitting up alot of slimy stuff. How do you tell if you are full? I cannot seem to stop the burping of the stuff and then throwing up more. Other things like yogurt and liquids had no problem.

  3. Hello,

I just got banded this week and could use a person to talk to one on one for problems and encouragement. I am in Oregon but anywhere would be fine. I can call or use yahoo chat. Right now I am just full of questions and still sore and swollen. Contact me if you could use a friend or just want to help out.

  4. Once all was said and done it only took a few days. But you have to follow their guidelines closely. Having to see andpay for dietician and pschologist, and diet classes. Then They said I was not heavy enough. But in the end they approved and I had mine done last week.

  5. Yes I am also hypo. Have been since they did iodine when I was young. Went from hyper to hypo and been heavy ever since. I just got banded, but it seems to me it can be slower but stillpossible. Also depends what your eating habits or hangups are. Mine seem to be about Portion Control, so seems to be dropping pretty quick. We will see what the months bring

  6. Hi, My name is kathy and I just got banded on the 23rd of July. Right now I am still sore and learning how to eat and drink without hurting myself. Trying to get set up on here for company and answers and finding that harder to do than I thought. I am in what they call stage two diet here for the first 2 weeks, which is mushy foods. Not sure how you are to eat only 3 meals with so little going or staying in as its all close to liquid. Any help or guidance would be great.
