    Premier Protein Shakes

My only problem is I always have chunks in them! It is soooo gross so now I strain them into a cup before drinking. It is annoying though, so I am working through my stash and then back to making my own shakes. I just prefer the convenience of the pre-made.

    Carbonated Beer

I don't have issues with carbonation and it is not forbidden on my plan either. We are just told to limit it and of course, only if your belly is ok with it. I don't drink beer, but I do have alcohol sometimes and diet soda sometimes. Ok with both. Although, try the alcohol safely at home as it hits everyone so different. Most people get drunk super easy but sober up even quicker. For me, I get drunk quick but I don't sober up. I stay drunk just as I would before surgery. But I get drunk VERY drunk with much less alcohol. Be safe, follow your plan. Best of luck!

    Convincing the doctor !

Sounds like you just said it. But as mentioned above, your BMI is a HUGE factor, even more so for insurance.

    Daily blog?

I haven't read or watched any but apparently there are quite a few on Utube
  5. I would think it is normal, food in food out, even if liquid. I had to do a bowel cleanse the night before surgery. Only clear liquids the night before starting at 6pm and a bowel cleanse between 8-10 pm. I was STILL pooping the next morning and was convinced I was going to poop on the operating table. I don't know if I did because I don't think they commonly share that information but I would bet i did. LOL Embarrassing! But, I am sure they are used to it and worse has happened. hahaha

    LOST MY MOJO

I am sucking.. bad. I had a BC control change and it is the only thing I can think of that has changed. I ALWAYS want to eat, I am a miserable b***h right now. Don't want to be around anyone, just want to sit on the couch and eat. Which is basically what got me here int he first place. I haven't gained weight, but I haven't lost anything in over 2 months. I know it is because I am eating more, sometimes bad crap. I am really thinking about switching back to my old BC to see if it helps get me out of the rut! I still want to loose 40 more lbs to hit my goal and this isn't going to get me there...

    LOST MY MOJO

I switched from the pill to an IUD. So far I hate it. I would rather just take the damn pills!

Birth control, nothing to do with WLS. But, messes with your hormones.

    Surgery Tomorrow 2/1/23

TODAY'S YOUR DAY!!! Wishing you the best! I was allowed tomato soup, and had it a lot. But, I was warned to try a tiny bit first to make sure the acid didn't bother my stomach. I didn't have any issues at all.

    Capsule multivitamins

I take mine with a sip of water like 10/15 minutes before I eat. Or, if I am drinking a shake for I will just use the shake to swallow it.

    Costco finds

Yeah, I have a Bjs card, but I actually checked at Same and Costco this weekend and only found caramel. I was ordering them on Amazon, but stopped because they are almost twice a much as they should be. I am just so frustrated with it all and just need to figure out something else for breakfast. But, I really like the protein boost of the shakes too. UHG!! I have friends who have memberships keeping an eye out for me too.

    Sleeve to Bypass

Do you still have the support of your surgical team? Dietician? Maybe start there, get with your team and see if they can help before jumping to a revision. Best of luck!

    Costco finds

I can't find fairlife anywhere around me. Premier always has chunks and sludge like stuff in it, I strain it and it taste fine, but it is gross and annoying. I have had this with my last 8 cases! I am so frustrated with trying to find shakes. I have tried multiple different brands but really only these 2. I have never been a breakfast eater, so shakes always worked for me but now I am dealing with this. I do like some powders but they get the throffy when I mix them and the texture starts to gross me out.

Can you have your tubes tied too?

    I would ask your surgeon.

    Does Patchaid Really Work?

My team is against them. I don't have personal experience as they tell us not to use them. They say that they only have about a 20% success rate for proper absorption and people end up deficient. I would talk to your team and follow their guidance. Maybe they will allow you to try them but check your vitamin levels sooner or more regularly than their normal spacing.
  16. You will get so many different answers as each surgeon has their own set of rules. 1-Straws: I wasn't allowed right after surgery but they said if it doesn't bother me further out then it doesn't matter. 2-Vitamins: I just take a bariatric multi vitamin and calcium each day. This could change and everyone is different based on blood work results and possibly deficiencies 3-My surgeon did a "leak test" by pushing some die through my digestive tract to make sure everything was good. 4- My surgeon didn't specify, I bought and drank the broth from soups. I hated plain broth and bone broth was worse. So, I bought different soups and strained them and just drank the broth. Other people ate the rest of the soup so it wasn't wasted. 5- I was allowed to get a shower the next day but was told to keep my back to the blasting water. It was ok to get the incisions wet, but don't let the water blast on them. 6- I did not have drains, but I know some people do. Depends on the surgeon. I only packed my phone and charger and chapstick. haha I was out of it and nothing I brought would have mattered. I was in the hospital for 2 days, but on discharge day my wife brought me clean clothes and helped me get a shower before I left the hospital. Good luck!

    23 Days After Sleeve

Your body is adjusting, just follow your plan and it will pass. There is an iconic "3 week stall" which you seem to be right around there. Around 3 weeks post-op a lot of people hit a stall. Basically staying at the same weight for a little bit, just still to your plan and it will pass.
  18. Your doctor or maybe even pharmacist would be better equip to answer this!

Don't want to lose all my boobs

Mine started small and phased into a different version of small! HAHA! I think was the only big girl in the world with small boobs!
  20. First, congratulations on your WL! I don't know from experience. But, I see many women on these forums and FB that have had babies post-op and barely gained any weight and others who have lose it. I see a lot about them going back to the basics once they have the baby. I would agree, open conversation with your surgeon and Dietician would go a long way here. Best of luck!
  21. I went out this weekend for my cousins birthday, and had multiple NSVs. I was called "skinny" multiple times. 🤯 Got a couple of "whoa look at you girl" comments People I haven't seen since before surgery didn't recognize me. I danced!! and didn't care.. didn't care that I can't dance. Didn't care if people were staring at my horrible dancing skills. I just danced and didn't care... this is HUGE for me because all of my friends and family have ALWAYS been trying to get me on the dance floor at events and I just sit there by myself.... I HAD A BLAST!

    Insurance question

They will go through your "primary" insurance. So, if your insurance is the primary you will likely be denied. But, I am no expert so can't say for sure. But, I do know for sure that all doctors go through primary insurance first.

    Hurts a bit to breath

Yeah, talk to your doctor for sure. It could be nothing, or it could be serious like developing a blood clot in the lung. Better to be safe than sorry!

    Food macro tracker

I use the free version of it, you can set your own macros under settings. I have my macros set to as close as I can to my Dieticians requirements. It forces you to use 100% so if the numbers don't work out you have to adjust to get there so i adjusted by increasing the protein requirement and just know what I need to hit everyday. There were more free features but they seem to have been moved to only the pay availability now. LAME, I am not paying, too many free ones out there to pay for the APP.
