  1. Good luck with your surgery and I hope all goes well with you. I had my brother with me when I had mine and he was a great help. My sister was recovering from hers and we stayed in the same apartment. I stayed in the hospital for two nights and I needed my brother to help me to go to the toilet and walk with me etc. I know the nurses were there but still. He also helped with cleaning the dressing after I was released from the hospital etc. I'm lucky to have a supportive family. My wife was there for me after I flew home (I did mine in Egypt and flew to Malaysia after 10 days). Having someone to support (physically and emotionally) is good but I guess you can do it on your own for sure. Can't you hire a nurse to be there for the first few days? We are here for you! You got this 😃!
  2. T That is amazing! I'm glad you managed to get back on track and lose so much weight.
  3. I think it makes sense to do it all in one go and get it over with. This way you don't have to suffer / be in pain three times. I've not reached my goal weight yet so I don't know if I'm gonna need one myself (hopefully not). But I will do it if I have to 😃
  4. Trying a new sport is always fun. I'm going to join my colleagues to play badminton which is very popular here in Malaysia. You are doing great!
  5. Wow. I hope the surgery went well. Did you do all in one go?

    Get ready to blossom

Congratulation and well done! You look amazing. I was looking through some old photos from last year and I was shocked to see how big I was in those specially my face and thighs.
  7. Good luck losing those 20 pounds! You must be excited
  8. That is awesome! Congratulations on the weight loss, the tattoo and the house!

    January 2022 Surgery Buddies

Hi January 2022 buddies! I had my MGB on 30 January 2022 and I'm glad I did. I lost close to 50 Kg so far and I've less than one kg to go into the two digit weights. Super excited for that. Like many of you here I had several stalls but I was not bothered by that. I was weighing myself on a daily basis at first but I stopped doing that now. I do it once a week. Super happy of the progress I made so far. Here is a photo collage that shows my progress - from left to right: 2 months before the surgery, 3 months after and yesterday morning.
  11. The best you can do I guess! Hopefully I won't be needing a tummy tuck but I'll go for it if needed.
  12. Awesome isn't it haha. My pans have shrunken in size and I need to buy new hangers now.
  13. I finally found some before photos. The first photo was 2 months before the surgery. I was 145+ kg. Second was 3 months after the surgery when my clothes started to get baggy. Last one was taken today. Pants size went from 52" - 44" - 38"
  14. That is wonderful! I donated my old clothes to a local charity here and bought myself loads of new stuff (some of which needs to be donated again since I'm much smaller now). Your nurse is right. You will fly through sizes (which is awesome).
  15. Glad you do. Getting the new iPhone also?
  16. I can relate. I'm planning to take my son to a theme park and try all the games there in December. I better loose more weight 😀
  17. I totally understand. Being able to buy clothes from the regular section of the department store and not having to pay extra for large sizes. That feels awesome. A holiday is great too.
  18. I like that. I got myself a mountain bike after losing 40 kg and as soon as I was confident I could ride one. Good luck with the surgery and achieving your goals.
  19. Congratulations and well done! You look like a totally different person in the before and after photos
  20. Congratulations and well done!
