  1. Day 4 from my DS surgery. I'm having some difficulty walking and sitting as I have a pain on my right lower side that insists on staying with me but I'm handling it the best I can. When I'm in bed I don't feel it and thankfully I have an adjustable bed so I stay sitting up for a long time. I stayed 2 nights in the hospital, no complications whatsoever and now I'm glad to be home. I'm on Phase 2 now, trying the thicker liquids so little by little. Day by day is all I continue to tell myself. Hang in there, the hardest part is already done haha!! 😁

Hey friends. My surgery was February 14, 2022 at 2 pm. My surgery was textbook. No issues for my surgeon. I was in my room by 6 pm that evening. Now what happened after that is a much longer story. If anyone wants to hear it I will be happy to share. I wish everyone else a happy and healthy time as we do this thing!!

Hi! Feel free to share or send me a private message if you prefer. I’m still in the hospital. Day 2 after surgery. No leakage thank God. Just a lot of abdominal pain, but that’s to be expected since I had the DS and a hernia repair. Everything went really well surgery wise so should be released tomorrow!

  3. Hi all. I'll be in the hospital in less than 12 hours getting ready for my surgery. I'm a little anxious, but that's to be expected from any surgery. I'm hungry right now but I'm on Clear Liquids and then nothing else.

I'm very happy to hear that everyone that has had their surgery so far is doing well! Very encouraging for those of us going next!

Good luck to all my 2/17 partners. We got this!! 💪

  4. Well, had my pre-op visit with my surgeon and pre-admission testing done today. This is it! I told the dr. that I was feeling frustrated and like I'm not following the diet instructions because I've hardly lost any weight (6 lbs) in 1 week and he reassured me that the idea is for the liver to shrink, it's not for me to lose weight, so that made me feel a whole lot better. They also gave me the name of some vitamin patches (which I can't remember right now 🤔) that they want me to use for the first month so I'm ordering those today. I need to arrive at the hospital by 5:30am and confirmed I am his first case so I joked with the nurse when I told her, well that's good! He will have had a good night's sleep so he'll be fresh and ready to start with me haha!! 8 more days to go! 😀

I saw someone else responded with Bariatric Fusion Complete chewable. You do have to take four a day but they have all that you need for the sleeve. It was also a very cost effective choice.

Thank you for the suggestion. I like to hear cost effective. This is a long term investment (as in the rest of my life!), so I want to make sure I find good Vitamins that will do the job. I've heard stories where they don't get the right ones and have had some pretty bad consequences.

  6. Hello! I'm scheduled for a DS on 2/17 here in Orlando. Nervous but excited at the same time. I also feel nervous about the current COVID wave, even thought about pushing it to March, but I feel like if I do that I will just keep on finding excuses to not do it. I'm reading and watching videos to be as prepared as possible and have some questions ready for my upcoming pre-op.

Rooting for all of us!!! 😊
