Hi Ma, I haven't been banded yet, but hopefully will be by the first of October. I don't think age matters if we are otherwise healthy. How far are you into the process? I went to my first appt. today with the surgeon who believes I will be approved by my ins. for the band. I had to drive 2 1/2 hours each way for the appt. and am wore out now. Keep in touch. Maggie
