  1. that is the point of this forum. and its why you cannot delete any of your post. In reality anything you post online stays there forever. While you may say personal stuff you dont have to post anything identifying yourself... you can change details as you wish, But no i do not agree in only allowing registered users access... Lots of people come here and browse and search for answers without ever wanting to create an account... and in reality anyone can create an account in seconds and search.

  2. i get comments all the time from people i dont know who see me every once in a while. Even the staff at my local post office that i go to recently told me "You loosing a lot of weight, looking good" and so on. I personally like it. I am not a person that is easily offended in anyway regardless if someone is mean or nice. They are just words.

  3. 2 weeks post op you are still way way early in the healing. chest pressure is normal. Your stomach is inflamed so it holds very little right now. Its up to you if you want to contact your doctor. I bought a oximeter and a blood pressure machine to keep an eye on things after my surgery.

  4. eating too much will cause you some pain. Its best to portion out your meals. Like this is what i do. and its best to eat slowly, chew well. you will find out how much you can actually eat. If you eat too fast your stomach will fill up quickly and you will feel that fullness pain. I am a person who hates to eat slow because food gets cold. So i try to cook smaller portions and then eat a little more later on.

  5. Your surgeon or doctor can always first order blood test a Liver type panel that involes your gall bladder... Then they can do an ultrasound, after that a HIDA scan which they inject you with a radioactive tracer which gets absorbed into your liver/gallbladder then they inject you with a hormone to get your gallbladder to empty and do its thing and they can see on the gamma camera to see if there are any issues. I have my HIDA scan next Friday.

  6. i am like 8 months out and i still get the pains in the right side. surgeon ordered an ultrasound to check for gall stones. It came back clear. in 2 weeks i will have a HIDA scan which is a nuclear medicine test. To check the functon of the liver, gall bladder and all that stuff that connects it. One of my labs showed an elevated billiruben level (spelling)

Unless you ate 10500 cal, my bet would be it is Water gain. It happens to me all the time, especially when I eat pickles. It should come off in a day or two.

lets hope lol. because damnnnnn. yea i have not eaten a bunch of stuff. Most of my day is typically 2 eggs 2 slices of cheese for Breakfast, lunch a couple ounces of roasted chicken thighs and a scoop of sweet potatoes and a spoonful of carrots, dinner is almost the same and dessert 2 scoops of low carb low sugar ice cream.

I've had a long history with weight problems. By the age of ''4'' I was already 68 pounds despite having the diet of the typical child. By the time I was 15 I was in the 180's and eating honestly no different from my peers. By 17 I had joined a teen fitness group and failed to lose any weight what-so-ever. I resorted to starvation about a year later and by 19 I was 150 pounds and subsisting on 500 calories per day, taking diet pills and using tea laxatives. This lead to a cardiac issue which lead me into an Anorexia treatment center by 20. I cleaned up my act and began a ''healthy eating journey'' but sadly for me that resulted in a slow creeping weight gain of about 7-8 pounds per year.

Sometime in 2014 I had reached ''180'' again and decided to join a gym. Worked out for months and lost nothing. I reduced my sugars, cut out processed food.. somehow I ended up weighing even more. I was 186 by the end of that year.

By 2021 I was ''210'' pounds. My doctor weighed me. I was in shock. Literal shock.. could not even believe it because I was working with a nutritionist at the time and following through with everything. This last year I have worked out constantly, eaten no carbs and I am 208. I have only lost two pounds. I am nearly 33 year old and my weight has been a seemingly life long struggle and close to resistant to change unless extreme measures were taken (Anorexia). I am very disappointed with this.

I have been tested for PCOS, Cushing's, NCCH etc many times and nothing showed up. I had severe acne (took accutane three times) and mild hirsutism as well but all blood tests come back normal, ultrasound reveal no cysts and I've gotten a monthly period since 13 years old. No doctor can explain this. I feel as though they do NOT believe me when I tell them what I eat. I just had an appointment with an endocrinologist and he said what I was telling him was ''impossible''. I have asked my doctor to refer me for weight loss surgery but at 210 pounds and 5'7 they just won't do it.

    I am at a loss.

5'7 and 210lb. You are great honestly right there. Yes a little overweight. But i am 5'4 and 205lb and i am so happy at this point tho i would love to loose a little more. Eat healthy and exercise. As for the surgery... you could always pay for it yourself. as many of us have who insurance wont cover it. Yes its expensive. Many on a budget end up going to mexico to have their surgery. Its about half the cost if not cheaper there. My surgery i paid around 20 grand for it. But in Mexico it would have been less than 10. I didnt do it because i just wanted to be near my home after surgery. Also maybe getting a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea??? That is one qualifying way to get approved for surgery once you get your BMI just a little higher.

  9. you typically never get the full amount for a while after surgery. Even at 8 months post op i struggle to get in the 64 oz of Water minimum. As for Protein, getting those little one ounce little cups helped a ton. I poured a shot basically and would drink it that way 1 ounce at a time and it was so much easier. Just do the best you can. Take sips throughout the day. Look at your pee... You want it as clear as possible. very yellow pee means you are dehydrated. When i see that i am like oops i need to drink some water lol.

  10. It can happen. Especially more in females. My Iron was low at 3 months post op. I increased my intake with an extra iron supplement and next labs at 6 months showed my iron back to normal. but the doctor said that it happens to many people some need infusions. I only take now roughly 45mg of iron a day. I am a guy. Also make sure you are taking Vitamin C with your iron and no Calcium for 2 hours at least. When i take my iron i drink a small glass of OJ or a glass of Water with EMERGEN C orange powder in it.

  11. Its the 4th. Yall know the drill lol

Started at 317lb. April 18th was surgery. I was hoping to loose 5lb in the last 2 weeks but it did not happen. Probably another stall. Also probably didnt help i ate some junk food from where i work the last week. So need to adjust my eating a bit. get back to meal prepping. Been working a lot and just been eating what they serve where i work. Next two days i am off, Heading to the grocery store to pick up some food to make my meals with again.

What is the reason you take it, and how have you felt since you've been off it for a few months?

If you are doing well without it, I would be hesitant to add it back in (and not b/c it's MMJ, I would say this with any rx,, OTC, even caffeine, soda, etc). So it all depends on why you think you need it, and what symptoms it helps with, and if those symptoms have been under control without it.

i personally use it because i enjoy it lol.
