  1. oh trust me i know. but the scale will drive you insane. at 3 months post op i lost maybe 5lb that was it. That was my 3rd month stall which is common. It will happen again and again.
  2. Stay off the scale for now. It will drive you nuts. You will hit stalls along your journey. I hit my first stall at 2 weeks post op. I didnt loose weight for about 2 weeks or so. you probably hit yours just a tad early which happens. Keep with the program and the weight will come off. I try to weigh myself every 2 weeks to 1 month. as for the pulse i am not sure there. I had high blood pressure before surgery and after surgery now i have low blood pressure. Where normally i would be in the 130-145 and now i am at 100 or so. (Blood pressure cuff) and my Beats per minute were in the 80-90's and now after surgery its low at around 50-60

    BCBS FL school district.

If bariatric surgery is specifically excluded in the insurance plan then there really is no way. I have Florida blue and its specifically excluded here in Florida. I ended up paying cash

    CrossFit and carbs?

I had the sleeve and my surgeon only told me to make sure i am taking in a minimum of 800-1000 calories before i start moderate to strong exercise. as for carbs yours suggested a lot more than mine. For me its a max of 40 grams of carbs per day. all these surgeons are so different lol

    USA surgeons

you may be able to get away with that amount with finding a outpatient center that does that surgery. Or save. I live in Florida and i paid cash. Mine was around $20K after all the testing and such.

    Gastric Bypass as an Outpatient

damn. quick quick quick. I like that i had my own private room in the hospital with nurses and doctors checking on me constantly and checking blood work and doing the blood thinner injections during my stay.

    Gastric Bypass as an Outpatient

Omg heck no lol. I did the sleeve and i stayed overnight and i am glad i did. there i at least had an IV to keep me hydrated well and got meds thru my IV. For bypass people they typically stay 2 nights (At my hospital at least)

Stalled at only 2 weeks post-op

So you hit your 3rd week stall a little early... i did too. ITs normal. and it will happen again and again. the 3rd week stall typically last only a couple weeks. The 3 month stall for me lasted almost the entire month. Dont worry yourself and dont weigh yourself everyday. You will drive yourself nuts. Just stick to the program. i weigh myself once a month.

    Eating/Bite Timer

I just eat slowly. your phone has a built in timer if you want to go that route. Looking at your profile you had your surgery almost 3 years ago and you seem to be doing very well.
  14. I had one last year. It was very quick. but no time to relax after there... They literally kick you out quick after you wake up which sucked.
  15. steak is not something you really should be eating so soon. while every surgeon is different. In my paperwork it said to avoid steak for at least 6 months. BUt you should be taking your time eating. Taking around 30 minutes or so to eat a meal. At 2 months i was to hit a max of around 600-800 calories which i did without issue. If you eat slow you can typically eat more as it gives time for food to move thru your system but you always want to go nice and slow and chew very well.

    Blood pressure

I did with my surgeon and my primary doc. I keep a log of my blood pressure readings and they said its fine and normal after surgery. still i keep an eye on it and take my blood pressure twice a day while resting so i can have that info ready on my next visit.

    Beware The Coffee Creamer Pipeline

i am almost 5 months post op and i have been drinking coffee since month 1 without issue. I brew my coffee, I use sugar free creamer. My fav is the sugar free Italian sweet cream and for sugar i use Truvia 1 packet. i have 1-2 coffees every night. (I work during the night) I do miss full sugar creamers tho.

    Blood pressure

Mine is very low too. When i get my readings and put them into some website that lets you know the numbers mean it says i am hypotension. I brought it up at my last doc visit and they said it was fine. I do smoke weed and my blood pressure goes up into a more normal range and my beats per minute go from the low 50's to around 80's
  19. Its the 4th of the month. Which means its time to do my monthly weigh in and measurements. High weight of 317lb. Surgery date April 18th 2022 I have to go buy new clothes again. The clothes i bought last month for work no longer fit and the belt i have put in roughly 7 extra holes in it. Time to replace it lol.

probably because you are using a mobile app... I am using a desktop.
  21. One thing my surgeon said was for smokers they had to quit before surgery and for a while after surgery otherwise the healing can be put in jeopardy. They even said that for smokers who are too addicted to it that they would be given a prescription (i dont know what) I am 4 months post op and i smoke lots of weed lol.
