Dude everyday all day long haha. Smoke it, Vape it, concentrates, edibles ect... No issues at all. Only difference is 1 the edibles can hit a bit harder. and 2 like someone already said is the munchies... I try to keep healthy snacks stocked up. Good thing is because our stomachs are smaller you fill up very fast. so say 1 slim jim will satisfy my cravings.

My one pointer given by my nutritionist recently was to "eat more" lol. I was like WTF? and she was like if you eat less you can gain weight. she went on and on explaining it but i forgot haha. basically make sure you are on a stable diet getting around the same calories everyday

Forum privacy from non-BP account users
liveaboard15 replied to Kimpossible00's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
that is the point of this forum. and its why you cannot delete any of your post. In reality anything you post online stays there forever. While you may say personal stuff you dont have to post anything identifying yourself... you can change details as you wish, But no i do not agree in only allowing registered users access... Lots of people come here and browse and search for answers without ever wanting to create an account... and in reality anyone can create an account in seconds and search. -
When a neighbor you don't know comments about your weight loss
liveaboard15 replied to Jamiepierce's topic in Rants & Raves
Reminds me of those mafia people that say "You said something about my brother" and go wack them. They are just words. In this country (USA at least) we are all free to speak our mind. Some people are nice, some are rude... -
When a neighbor you don't know comments about your weight loss
liveaboard15 replied to Jamiepierce's topic in Rants & Raves
i get comments all the time from people i dont know who see me every once in a while. Even the staff at my local post office that i go to recently told me "You loosing a lot of weight, looking good" and so on. I personally like it. I am not a person that is easily offended in anyway regardless if someone is mean or nice. They are just words. -
JANUARY 2023 SURGERY STARTING A GROUP CHAT
liveaboard15 replied to Nellefromtheblock's topic in The Gals' Room
isnt that the point of this forum? You create a thread as you just did and we all chat together. many people post looking to talk to people who are having surgeries around the same time. -
2 weeks post op you are still way way early in the healing. chest pressure is normal. Your stomach is inflamed so it holds very little right now. Its up to you if you want to contact your doctor. I bought a oximeter and a blood pressure machine to keep an eye on things after my surgery.

gained 3lb in 4 days...
liveaboard15 replied to liveaboard15's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
6 days later and i am down from that 208 to 204. I hate water weight lol. -
eating too much will cause you some pain. Its best to portion out your meals. Like this is what i do. and its best to eat slowly, chew well. you will find out how much you can actually eat. If you eat too fast your stomach will fill up quickly and you will feel that fullness pain. I am a person who hates to eat slow because food gets cold. So i try to cook smaller portions and then eat a little more later on.

Your surgeon or doctor can always first order blood test a Liver type panel that involes your gall bladder... Then they can do an ultrasound, after that a HIDA scan which they inject you with a radioactive tracer which gets absorbed into your liver/gallbladder then they inject you with a hormone to get your gallbladder to empty and do its thing and they can see on the gamma camera to see if there are any issues. I have my HIDA scan next Friday.

i am like 8 months out and i still get the pains in the right side. surgeon ordered an ultrasound to check for gall stones. It came back clear. in 2 weeks i will have a HIDA scan which is a nuclear medicine test. To check the functon of the liver, gall bladder and all that stuff that connects it. One of my labs showed an elevated billiruben level (spelling)

Want to get weight loss surgery but am not getting approved
liveaboard15 replied to shonna1989's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
5'7 and 210lb. You are great honestly right there. Yes a little overweight. But i am 5'4 and 205lb and i am so happy at this point tho i would love to loose a little more. Eat healthy and exercise. As for the surgery... you could always pay for it yourself. as many of us have who insurance wont cover it. Yes its expensive. Many on a budget end up going to mexico to have their surgery. Its about half the cost if not cheaper there. My surgery i paid around 20 grand for it. But in Mexico it would have been less than 10. I didnt do it because i just wanted to be near my home after surgery. Also maybe getting a sleep study done. You may have sleep apnea??? That is one qualifying way to get approved for surgery once you get your BMI just a little higher. -
you typically never get the full amount for a while after surgery. Even at 8 months post op i struggle to get in the 64 oz of water minimum. As for protein, getting those little one ounce little cups helped a ton. I poured a shot basically and would drink it that way 1 ounce at a time and it was so much easier. Just do the best you can. Take sips throughout the day. Look at your pee... You want it as clear as possible. very yellow pee means you are dehydrated. When i see that i am like oops i need to drink some water lol.
-
You and i are both the same height and almost the same starting weight. I was so happy when i hit 100lb lost. Now i am trying to get under that 200 mark but struggling to loose these last 5 lb lol. Congrats on your achievement!

Iron Infusions for Anemia/Restless Legs Syndrome post-sleeve
liveaboard15 replied to rebeccalynn319's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can happen. Especially more in females. My iron was low at 3 months post op. I increased my intake with an extra iron supplement and next labs at 6 months showed my iron back to normal. but the doctor said that it happens to many people some need infusions. I only take now roughly 45mg of iron a day. I am a guy. Also make sure you are taking vitamin C with your iron and no calcium for 2 hours at least. When i take my iron i drink a small glass of OJ or a glass of water with EMERGEN C orange powder in it. -
Protein Intake
liveaboard15 replied to Dianne Bradshaw's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Protein no not really... water is still a struggle at nearly 8 months post op. For protein shakes i bought those little 1 ounce cups and i would drink it that way. 1 ounce at a time throughout the day. It helped a ton. -
Its the 4th. Yall know the drill lol Started at 317lb. April 18th was surgery. I was hoping to loose 5lb in the last 2 weeks but it did not happen. Probably another stall. Also probably didnt help i ate some junk food from where i work the last week. So need to adjust my eating a bit. get back to meal prepping. Been working a lot and just been eating what they serve where i work. Next two days i am off, Heading to the grocery store to pick up some food to make my meals with again.

i drank coffee from around the 1 month mark without issues. I use TRUVIA for the sugar and for creamers i get sugar free ones. I literally have 1-3 cups a day.

Losing too much weight before surgery
liveaboard15 replied to Crystal-clear's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
wont matter by then... Once they approve the surgery you are good to go. They wont stop the surgery just because you weigh a certain amount before. I didnt even get weighed on my surgery date lol
