  1. No regrets. This band is my new best friend. A friend that practices "tough love" on me, and lets me know who's boss when I attempt to stray. A friend that gives me a good case of the "slimes" when I am making a bad decision for myself...which I need because I don't have the ability/gumption/strength to just do what I need to on my own. I have named it, my friend, Da Band. :)

  2. I was banded by Dr. Warnock in July and have never had any problems with him or his staff. They have always been very helpful, and Dr. Warnock has even said that he would be willing to do my fills on Saturday (which he doesn't normally do) if it would be more convenient for me. Even though it is a 3 hour drive for me, I am so glad I chose him to do my surgery.

  3. I'm right there with you lotstolose. That is the hardest part for me too! I was banded July 11th and have lost 35 pounds. Most of it early on. Been SLOW going recently. Before banding I always had a glass of tea (or two) with my meals. At work, I just get my lunch tray and bypass the tea counter, but at home I am guilty of sipping a bit with meals. Hard to break old habits.

  4. I was also banded on July 11th. As of this morning I have lost a total of 31 pounds. What frustrates me is the fact that I have been frantically counting calories and Protein points and working out like a big dog, and I am hungry. Why did I bother having lapband surgery if that is what it takes to move the scales?

  5. Hi Elizabeth. I was banded on the 11th of July and only in just the last few days have begun feeling like a normal person. Still have pain in the port site (probably because it was larger), but my doctor said some people never lose the tenderness in their port site. It's all going to be worth it though. As of this morning I am down 21 pounds. YIPPEE!!!
