  1. Good Morning,

I know your surgery was on Friday, I haven't seen a post yet and I was just checking in to see how you were doing? I hope everything went okay and you are just resting.

  2. Pumpkin.... you can do it. You are almost there. Keep thinking ahead to the future and how much healthier and happier you will be.

    I just received my lapband!

Congratulations Mommypower! I had my surgery on 8/8/08. I have not weighed in yet, I am waiting for my two week post-op. But I did lose 20lbs pre-surgery, so I am excited. I am still on liquids and should graduate to mushy on Friday.
  4. What wonderful pictures of you and your family! Welcome to the group.

  5. Hi, Jenecye! I haven't weighed since before I was banned last Friday, I trying to hold off until I see Dr. Villares next Friday. I think it will be fun to see after two week period. I am doing three protein shakes a day, cream soup and some sf jello. I haven't actually totalled out the calories. But I am so full it is hard to get in my three shakes. It great to find people so close to home to share experiences with.
  6. Welcome Jenecye.... We are almost neighbors. Who did your surgery? I am out in Avondale, right by PIR
  7. Hi tx_girl ....

Well we made the one week mark, I feel great. I been working the past two days from home and I am really ready to hit the road on Monday. I am sure I will be tired, but I want back to the real world. I am not a good stay home person. Take care hope all is well.

  8. Good Morning,

I was back to work yesteday. I had the advantage to work from home this week on Thursday and Friday, which was good for me, but there is a lot of stress going on right now at work. I am off and on the road this Monday, so it should be interesting.

I have one grown son, that lives at home with me and my husband. He works and goes to school full time so he passes through occassionally. I hope you are feeling well. Keep in touch.

  9. Thank you cutie for the comments on my wedding pictures. It was definately a unique wedding and one I didn't think I would ever have, but I guess everyone that is patient gets that Cinderella day in due time. I am very lucky to have a wonderful husband that supports me so well. Good luck today on your weigh in. I am excited to see how wonderful you do.

  14. iwant2baloser, I have tri-care prime and Dr.Villares performed my surgery last friday. You might want to check back with him.
  15. ibldenver, I promise if your surgery is anything like mine, there will be a little discomfort, but truly is not bad. The gas in the chest is worse. Walk, Walk, walk and I am sure you will be fine. I am three full days now and wondering why I took a whole week off work. I feel great. Good Luck.
  16. Sorry Vegas I didn't have to do that!
  17. Good Morning,

My doctor was Dr. Alexander Villares. He was really good, he use to do the surgery at Good Sam however, he recently started using an out patient facility in Scottsdale. Right before I was going under the nurses were talking about how wonderful he was, because they could not believe how fast he was and how he was so smooth. I must tell, I have felt really good, the first night home I was sleepy, and didn't have hardly any pain. I only took pain meds on Saturday, and I am not sure I needed them or I knew it would be comforting. I wish you luck this week, please keep in touch we are close neighbors.

Less than one week till the big day!!!

I had my surgery on Friday and I feel wonderful. The worst is the gas pain. Walk as much as you can afterwards to get rid of it. Popsickles taste good throat afterwards too. Good LUCK!
  19. Congratulations everyone! It seems as though those of us that have been banded this month are moving on with great strides. I am happy to say I woke up this morning with hardly any gas pain. I getting ready to go for my walk. I walked a little last night and coughed a lot (I have asthma, so it is expected from the surgery), however I feel fine. I wish all of those having surgery the best of luck this week and I hope you all recoup as fast as most of us have. I have my fingers crossed for luvcowboys that everything goes as planned tomorrow. Good Luck Everyone and Happy Monday!

Still working on getting rid of some of that gas, but other than that a little tenderness when I get up but that was it. I am up and down the stairs like nothing, which I was really worried about. Anyways welcome to the group and my email is azlife@cox.net if you have trouble with formum chat,

  23. sfinneran1 you will be fine, it nothing compared to what I thought and was worried about. I am a little sore, but have been walking around all day and I was an outpatient yesterday. The gas is the hardest part. Good Luck
