More stats would be really helpful OP - agree with Arabesque. If you're close to your goal weight or a 'normal' BMI then weight loss will naturally slow and can plateau for long periods but then lose some more. A few pounds on shouldn't necessarily mean the end of your loss forever. If you're straying from your programme then it might be good to stick to that rigidly for a few weeks to see if it will get you back on track. -
When can I start weight lifting? or doing HIIT?
Spinoza replied to AmberFL's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wasn't given any specific restrictions but I did lift my 15kg dog about a fortnight out and caused considerable pain to my biggest incision (where they removed my excess stomach). Took a couple of weeks to be pain free after that. I agree you should check with your team. They all seem to be slightly different. And proceed with caution - you have the rest of your life to get fit! -
I was never given any specific goals to meet at any stage. At 3 weeks after my sleeve I was probably eating 3 tiny 2oz pureed things per day. If I was hungry I had a teaspoon or two of nut butter before bed, or if it was earlier in the day a few spoons of Greek yoghurt.

Just sharing the Irish equivalent. Had no idea it was so (relatively) low in protein - I do track *everything* but I must have missed this in the general deliciousness of Boursin! -

How much protein is too much?
Spinoza replied to newbegining2024's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I know I post the same thing all the time but I was never given ANY goals - protein, fluids, nothing! It was totally reach your stages by texture. Eat as much as you can of: clear liquids; thick/full liquids; puree; soft foods; proper endgame food. That was it! I've done fine but that was with the help of everyone here. Think my surgeon's 'hands off' approach is probably fine for some people but not others. -
OK - firstly, you are doing absolutely fine. Anyone who has lost 60lbs in 5.5 months is WINNING! We all stray from the path a little at times! You have already identified where you strayed - carbs. So from tomorrow, get back to your surgeon's plan. I suspect it will be protein first, veg second, carbs last (by a long way). Stick to that. I have a sleeve and I was still losing miniscule amounts of weight almost 2 years out. You have loads of time to get to where you want to be. I wish you luck!

What surgery did you have and how long ago OP? It would help us to advise you if you could provide a little more detail. 👍 I had a sleeve, and in the puree phase (2-4 weeks post op) I was eating WAY less than 100 grams/3.5oz per meal. Probably more like 2oz? But I was getting protein in in other ways (shakes).

Oh I am so sorry - this has never happened to me before but everything this evening is posting repeatedly 😥

I track everything every day and I think I always will. Could be just me though. Hasn't stopped me regaining 5 pounds from my lowest weight a few months ago. I honestly did nothing different (I mean NOTHING) so am chalking it up to the mysterious third year gain. Annoying but not too concerning at this point - am monitoring closely though!

Our tastes change and change and change again in the months after surgery. As long as you can meet your team's goals you will be absolutely fine - don't worry. -
