Had my 2 week post-op appointment today and since the liquid diet and revision surgery, I’m down 30 pounds. Honestly, couldn’t believe it! Best part of the appointment was the approval to move on to soft foods though! Haha! Hope everyone is still kicking major butt! Good luck to all the upcoming surgery dates! Surgery was a success! But these gas pains are no joke. Hope all my April 6th surgery day friends are doing okay!

I don't think most policies cover revision unless there's some sort of mechanical failure with the first surgery, or if there's some medical issue like severe GERD. And some won't even cover things like that - I have a friend who's had horrible problems with her 10-year-old lapband the last couple of years (constant vomiting, etc), and her policy refuses to cover a revision. Although keep checking around - hopefully you'll find one that does. A majority don't seem to - maybe a few do...

Hey everyone!

I'm sure there are many posts on here for revision but I'm in need of some help. I'm 7 years out of VSG surgery and am embarrassed to say I've gained everything back. The only excuse I have is life got in the way. I've been in touch with my surgeon and have been discussing revision surgery. My issue is, I do not have the same insurance (Aetna) now that I did when I had my original surgery. I'm having a hard time finding an insurance that will cover a revision. My current employers' plan does not even remotely cover anything bariatric wise so I'm hoping you fine people can give me some info of where I can turn. I thought I found a decent multiplan but I've since been told they do not cover bariatric surgery either.
