    Changing insurance before fills

I agree with Gary B, call your insurance company. They will tell you if they even cover obesity surgery. Even though you have already have the surgery, the fills are considered part of that surgery, and they may be excluded. Is this an individual policy, or a group policy? That makes a difference. If if is a group policy, you should be able to get a certificate of credible coverage to waive your pre-existing timeframe. Good Luck!

    June line up

I was banded on June 9th.
  3. Hello, I am Crystal from Lanett, Alabama. I had my lap band on June 9th. I have 2 children: Joseph age 15 (will turn 16 on July 27th) & RuthaAnne age 9. I work for Blue Cross of Georgia in Columbus, GA. I am a Clinical Trainer for the Utilization Nurses, so I know all the pain everyone who has blue cross is going/went through. I am looking forward to going out to play with my daughter, and spending time with my son (when he lets me ha ha!).
  4. Hello, my name is Crystal. I am 37 (almost 38) years old. I had my lap band on 06/09/08. I am curious as to whether or not anyone else has had an inflammatory respons to their band? I had one shortly after surgery, and thought I was going to die. It felt like an elephant sitting on my chest and radiation up to my neck. Luckly my surgeon is very accessible and saw me right away. I had to be placed back in the hospital of steroids, fluids, and potassium. It took a couple of days but it got much better. 225/199.5/140
