16 Days post Op and finally have more energy since starting puree phase.

Down 33 lbs. in 33 Days and looking forward to when I can workout again.

Measuring for and logging everything onto Baritastic App has been key to keeping track.

I have had 4 days of successive bowl movements and feel like I am getting closer to "normal."

Thats great Bariatric boy. Ive gone back to gym for last 1 week and getting stronger each week starting to feel normal most days.

I’m 13 days po and I’m finally getting a bit more energy now I started purées! Have also learned never to trust a fart 🤦‍♀️ thank goodness I was at home.

On a side note, I suddenly love cooking for my husband.. I had lost all my previous love for cooking when I was diagnosed with IBS and had to start restricting so many different types of food and I just adore being able to cook without all those limitations!! It makes me happy and I’ve been cooking healthy yummy things for him to eat. He’s super happy too 🤣
I now am constipated for the first time in my life (had an MGB) and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t go back to my IBS-D (I heard some people actually recovered from it after this surgery!!)

Hi Summermoose. I had gastrc sleeve on 20/8 and 3 weeks post op. I had IBS too - i thinks its gone as it flared with large amounts of carbs and food. I was also very constipated first week but its tough tryna get Water done when ur not eating much either. Try senna tablets or movicol. Xx

I don’t know if I’m posting this in the correct spot. Surgery aug 16th I’ve lost only 7lbs in almost 4 weeks. Preop diet I lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks. I’m following diet to the letter. I’m walking 30 min almost every day. Has this happened to anyone else. I’m starting to worry that it didn’t work… surgeon says it’s fine. Only problem is I can’t seem to get all the Water in consistently. Could that be it?

Yep 3 weeks for me on Friday. Im eating ground meat. Thought of sugar makes me urgh at the moment- i used to love my sweet coffees but dont have any sugar init. I am more tired than usual im taking my daily Vitamins and logging in my fluids and Protein. Lost weight too- lots of people looking at me shocked- no one knows so somw secrets are going to the grave with me 🤪🤪

I had the sleeve done August 23rd. I’ve been home from the hospital for a week now. I’ve found that I’m struggling to get all of the required Protein and liquids in that I’m supposed to have. I also feel very hungry. I was not expecting that at all! I’m hoping that it’s head hunger and it’s just because I’m bored with not being at work and the kids being back to school. I don’t have energy to do anything and I don’t want to overdo it anyways. Does anyone have any words of wisdom, because this stage has been pretty brutal.

I had my sleeve on the 20th august. Its a very tough week. It took me hours per Protein Shake which took up the whole day. I got dehydrated and had to go in hospital for extra fluids and got depressed. But now its day 10 and im much much better as i can deink more. Hang in there it gets better xx

I'm sure you will do well!! not sure what MGH means? :D i think I might start my liquid a couple days early and maybe "snack" once per day off something my hubby eats for a couple bites. Life is about balance right? the extra days will offset anything I take in those 2 days. SSHH!!!

Hi. I would defo try and practice the liquid diet as in London, Uk they didn’t request dor a pre op liquid diet. I had my sleeve on 20th august and the first week was so tough. I became dehydrated.

  6. Thanks guys just come home from being discharged feom hospital as I needed IV fluids, IV Vitamin B, and being heavily constipated didnt help. I have been taking 60g Protein each day woth milk 3 times a day. But I gues I was only really managing 600 mls flui a day. I bought Huel High Protein which i got fed up off. And tried to make salmon broccoli Soup and obviously was too early to blend and try some so i vomited n hence Constipation and dehydration on top of that.

  7. Hellooo everyone. So I had my Sleeve on 20th August. And im now Day 9 post op. Im in London Uk. Ive got to say it was a big shock to my body when your used to eating and drinking whenever you want and also big shock psychologically as your body has never had restrictions. I did go in hospital as I became dehydrated not being able to drink as often as I did which made me feel dizzy unwell fatigued. Also constipated aswell. My blood results are all normal so If i manage to keep drinking a sip every 5 mins( Aiming 1 litre a day) i will go home xxx
