My surgery was August 10th, and I’m on blended foods right now so I know what you mean. I feel like I crave food even though I’m not hungry. I am a week away from soft chopped and I am so excited. The ricotta bake did help me feel like I was eating more normal foods. Puréed Soups from Panera also helped. They say the head hunger gets better, and I hope so!! I think we’re in a weird stage where we can’t eat what we want, and we don’t see significant weight loss yet so we feel kind of stuck. You’ll do great, we just have to give it time! 🤞

My surgery was august 4th..within a few days I started with creamier Soups and I loved Panera soups the cream of broccoli and I would eat cream of chicken at home. Once I was at 12-13 days I started puréed foods..I eat hard boiled eggs like 1 is a full meal but omg it’s so good..I started with chicken and tuna and low fat string cheese- I make sure they’re chopped up very well and chew a lot and I’ve had no issues! Also I got mashed cauliflower and other veggies with seasonings (no butters or anything tho). It’s day 17 and overall I’ve lost 29 pounds- 14 before surgery and 15 since the 4th! Good luck! Lmk if you have any questions I can help with!

Day 3 I could eat creamed Soups, sf pudding, yogurt. Day 15 I started soft/purée foods. eggs, tuna, avocado, mashed veggies and purée meats. I don’t get any more solid foods til the 5th week. As for the gas walk walk walk the more I walked the better I felt. I also used gas x

I’m eating exactly the same way! Day 14 I started eggs and puréed meats..it’s only been 2 days with that but it’s going really good so I’m gonna add more food and then same for me solid food on week 5! How are you feeling?

Had my surgery august 4, so far have lost 10 pounds but it’s hard to get the fluids in and Protein. I’m super constipated to not sure if that’s why I can’t drink more.

Hey we’re twinsies!! I had mine the 4th too and I’ve lost 10 lbs since the surgery and I lost 15 before it! So I’m at 25 now and starting to feel great. It is def had to get enough fluids in. I sip ALL day on Water and my clear Protein (except when I’m going to try to have a “meal”). I drink my Protein Shake in the am within the first hour of getting up but I usually can only get down half of it in an hour or longer. I always go back to it later. I make sure I drink atleast 1 clear protein and 1 1/2-2 shakes and WATER all day- that will help with the constipation! Message me if you need any other help! I can help wherever I can!

I am 8/16. Nervous. Hard time sticking to preop diet. Strayed 3 x so far. Told my Dr yesterday. He said just go back on. Make sure Clear Liquids day before surgery. Nothing after midnight. And that I will do fine. Good luck to everyone!

Don’t worry! I had the same Problem…what I did that helped was drink my 3 shakes and then I ate a small salad once a day or sometimes I split that salad in half for lunch and rest at dinner. It was just lettuce, chicken and some seasoning (I did add a very little honey mustard as well). It was a little different than what I was supposed to eat( supposed to be 1/2 cup vegetables or a non fat Greek yogurt which I did eat in between here and there)..but seeing chicken is a Protein, it was ok and that worked so good for me. I ended up losing 14 pounds before surgery from that 2 weeks. Try to find something that’s healthy that you enjoy eating (like a good salad or something…just stay away from the dressings or croutons). GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT

Surgery on 8/31. Getting a jump start on the diet so I can minimize any complications and make sure I get a good surgery. Down 9 pounds in 5 days. Worried I may lose too much to keep my insurance approval. Have 3 weeks to go. The diet is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I am not feeling really hungry at all but I am only on it 5 days so far.

I got my surgery on August 4th. My doctor was very happy I lost 14 pounds in the prior 2 weeks. Once you have your insurance approval, your all set..don’t worry…they want us to lose the weight at the end..it helps with shrinking the liver for surgery and helps us with our new lifestyle. It helped me so much and now I’m 21 pounds down since July 19th. Keep up the good work!!

  8. I just got my sleeve done august 4th. So glad it’s finally done I’ve been waiting since October 2020 was my first appointment!! Any questions on how it feels after ask me !! It’s a bit rough for me it was and I’m still in major pain, but it’s getting better by the day …good luck to everyone!!
