Peekalillilou reacted to jadepok in Reached my target weight today [emoji3][emoji3]
Hey all,
This is my first time posting. Its just my husband that knows about my surgery but I wanna share it with you all because today I've reached my target weight[emoji1][emoji126] Im 7 months post op. I'm 5ft1 and weighted 15 stone before gastric bypass surgery and now today I've reached the 9 stone mark. Getting surgery was the best decision I could of ever made but the hardest thing I've ever done also. I travelled to nord bariatric clinic from Ireland to Lithuania in Dec 2020 solo. I was scared, ashamed nervous and so so miserable. I missed my kids and my husband so much for the time I was away it was scary being alone doing this but I knew I had to do this for me and for them. The first few months are a learning curve post op but honestly things get easier and you adjust. I still enjoy nice food and drink but know my limit. Having surgery has allowed me to feel like me again I feel the head demons are gone and I just feel free. Here are some before and after photos . Best of luck everyone with your journey. Its so worth it

I failed miserably my first 2 days. I have done better since then. My surgery is July 22nd also! I am supposed to be low carb (80-100 carbs) for 2 weeks and liquid diet for 2 days before surgery. I get more nervous everyday

Welcome! I struggled the first two days on the diet, too, but then I got on track on the third day. Hopefully it will be the same for you!

I’m scheduled for July 21! So excited but getting very nervous that I’m not properly prepared with my Vitamins and for the liquid diet and the prospect of never eating and drinking together again

Hi, I'm new here. My surgery is July 22.
Things have gone pretty quickly. I saw the Dr. in April, did the colonoscopy and EGD in June and my surgery is on July 22. I have seen the Dr. a total of 3 times. There was no "approval" process since my insurance will not cover the surgery.
I was supposed to start the Liver Reducing diet Friday - but failed. I tried again today -- failed. I'm afraid I'm going to ruin everything.
I went online to look for a place where I could talk to others in similar situations. The last time I was involved in a forum was 2008 after reading "The Shack." lol

I take the BariatricPal Multivitamin ONE Per Day chewable with 45mg Iron. I get the mixed berry flavor and it tastes good. The price is right too - $15.00 for a 30-day supply, or it's even cheaper at $40.00 for a 90-day supply.

chewables until you’re healed, then normal are fine. I take BariatricPal One.
