  5. My surgery is Nov 1st. Im concerned about how NOT to feel faint or starved during the week before surgery doing the liquid diet. And what is the first week of surgery like? What suggestions can you give me?

  10. i asked my surgeon for his recommendation at my 1st appt, and he said, its up to me. Its been 4 mos, now, and my final appt is Tuesday, i believe i want the RYN? Because its more harsh and stricter?
  11. i dunno why your brother would say that. And thats not right, my brother told my mom (not to my face) thats WLS is a waste that will regain the weight. Hes told her twice and his wife once! That made me mad because what does he care and cant wonder if its envy? My date is Sep 20 tentatively, if hospital allows it, due to delta.
  12. i meant, 60g of protein, drinking the shakes is alot to take in after 5 days? That is one of my concerns, making the daily protein intake. Pls do tell how you are managing
  13. wow , you were able to get your required protein after 5 days post op? I thought it was liquid diet, first 2 weeks? My date is sep 20, but taking it day by day since we dont know if the hospital will allow elective surgeries.
  14. whoa, all that from a VSG? Im scheduled for a RYN on 9/20 if covid restrictions are lifted at the hospital. thats going to murder me
  15. me too, same date, procedure, and going to submit FMLA for 4 weeks? But my surgeons office called today, they told me as of now elective overnight procedures are closed but each week, the office gets updates from the hospital and still need to do my final appt with my primary and surgeon. So im hoping!!!

  20. How are you still feeling? I cant believe simple tasks take alot out of you. I also am wondering about time off. Im guessing 4 weeks? Im having RNY on Sep 20, pls update.
  21. mine covers it, have Aetna *** open Access. Have a date for Sep. It really depends if your employer buys the package that includes the procedure and offers it to their employees. Im in Lee County
