  1. I was tired of being the heaviest person and not having any energy. We were going on trips and I didn't enjoy it because I couldn't find clothes that I would be comfortable in. I also didn't like myself. At work I would hide in my office but now I have so much energy it feels so good. I love my band and would do it again in a heartbeat.

  2. :help: I read about a timer which flashes to tell you when to take your bites and now I can't remember what or where. I really need this I think my biggest problem is I eat too quick and then I get the pain going down. I can't stand the pain.

  3. I had lost 3 lbs. then at my last visit to set the surgery date I had gained seven. I told the doctor I had quit smoking and was trying to fight both battles. Plus my insurance was changing and they were not going to cover the operation, I had a appointment within two weeks to be banded on Dec. 30th. And they were strict also about the no weight gain. It all in how you present it.

  4. I have to agree with cashley. I have a daughter who is mentally handicapped and weights 290 and works plus gets SSI and state medical. If she could understand that she would not be able to eat that much and what she can't eat I'd get her the lapband if possible. Where there is a will there is a way.

  5. Hi new to the sight and happy to find others out there experiencing the same things. Plus it's nice to talk to people who know what your feeling.:straight

I had the same reactions after the operation as the threads that I have read, I got very depressed and wondered if I did the right thing but as of today I am happy that I was banded, still a little scared but I guess that's normal. I will be visiting often.
