What do you eat after a fill
unbeilievable how different the doc's are, mine says solid protien after fill, he says he doesn't want food going through the stomach fast. I'm more confused as I read because m.d.'s are so different. vicki

Dear skinipete, My doc says the fluid you drink flushes the food through the pouch and makes you hungry all over again. don't drink and the food stays in the pouch longer, keeping you full longer.. good luckyou can do it

Depression after surgery.
:sad_smile:I too am depressed, I am 5 weeks post op and I feel as though something big is missing in my life. It seems as though everything is focused or planned around food. I'm not sure how to fill this void in a healthy way, I've heard of people who become alchoholics and drug abusers. I know this will not happen to me because i've never had an urge of this kind. I do know i have become a nail biter for the first time in my life. any reply would be so appreciated. good luck to all vicki:sad:

Depression after surgery?
make sure these pills (zoloft) are crushable, some meds are time released and cannot be crushed. also, i heard anesthesia can make one depressed and it can last for weeks. talk to your dr. i hope you feel better... i also am depressed and am on paxil. I thought I was mourning food, because i obviously used it as a coping mechanism.. good luck to you. vicki

Quick question for everybody
 congratulations! I was banded 5 weeks ago. I can tell you I had pain in my ribcage for a couple weeks and the dr. told me it was the gas they use for the operation. you probably have some pressure from eating also, but just when you think your going to have it forever, it is gone, and keeps getting better. good luck, vicki
