Honestly I was very uncomfortable for the first 5-7 days. I thought that the removal site of the port would hurt but it didn't. It was the site where they removed the stomach. Today I'm 11 days out and feeling and moving so much better. Actually just went and walked a mile. I've got to get back at it. I wasn't given anything but tylenol and flexeril to come home on. I wish you the best better days are ahead.

I can totally agree with this! I’m only 3 days post op from gastric sleeve and it isn’t pain I feel but discomfort when I move. I can’t wait to get over the swelling which makes it a bit uncomfortable to breathe with out the stomach band on, it helps keeping the pressure on. ALSO, heating pads are doing wonders when I am laying down.

  2. So I had surgery 5/18 and I the next day they had me start purred foods! I’m excited to be feeling so good because I’m trying to make sure I get all my Protein and Vitamins (I was really scared about losing a lot of hair). Fortunately, I’ve been doing pretty good I’m proud of myself. Only real pain I’ve felt besides the gases was the bumpy ride home, omg I felt like my insides were churning, it was excruciating. I haven’t even weighed myself yet, I want to wait at least a full week before I do.

Hey twinsie! Mine was this morning as well. Hope you're feeling better already!

It really was not as bad as I anticipated, the first few hours were not too easy but after I was up and walking the gases stared flowing around and it began to get easier. I’m feeling much much better today and I’m on my way home. I was even able to have 3oz of puréed meat today !!! I’m so happy I haven’t felt any nausea at all. How are you doing so far ?

  4. Had my surgery this morning at 9 am and it’s been a bit challenging with the pain but I’m managing, thankfully no nausea or vomiting at all! I’ve had broth, apple juice and Jello so far but at first it was nothing but ice chips. Most importantly I’ve been walking a lot and it really has been helping. Just need some assistance getting in and out of bed.

OMG Yes! I don't know how to feel! I'm not nervous. I feel like I'm only nervous if something goes wrong. It feels weird to be excited about a piece of an organ being taken out. BUT I AM excited about getting this show on the road 🤣

My pre-op surgery visit is tomorrow 😬😬😬

For a bit I was a little scared but now I’m so excited to get rid of this part of me that I’m jittery about it 😂😂😂 can’t wait to get the call telling me what time to come in on Tuesday 🙌🏼🙌🏼

  6. Hey guys! I’m on day 9 of my liquid diet now and my surgery is on the 18th now omg it’s getting so real. Tomorrow I have my pre-surgical testing. It’s been pretty difficult I won’t lie, I cheated once 🙁. I had one bite of an egg roll but other than that I’ve stayed strong lol. I can’t wait for the surgery mostly to stop feeling the urge and desire to eat everything around me

Hi everyone! This is my first time on this forum! My bypass surgery is scheduled for May 14th and I am both nervous and excited! I am starting to have doubts but it’s more about the apprehension of what could go wrong. I could use all the support I can get!!

Welcome!! I think the doubting is normal. I know for me it's been nothing but excitement for my surgery coming up on the 19th but about a week ago I started having my "what if" moments too. I just chalk it up to nerves. That and I have never had any type of surgery in my life, never been put under, etc. so I worry how I may react to it all. I'm sure we'll both be fine!!!

This is what I’ve had to do in order to keep myself sane, I’m on day 3 of my liquid diet. Last night was super tough, I had horrible body aches and a lot of nausea. I’m having trouble remembering to drink enough Water because since the shakes aren’t great tasting, it takes me quite a while to finish each. Trying to stay busy is probably the only way to stay distracted. However everyone around me is having suck great food 😞 it’s so hard.

Nice! I started mine yesterday as the surgeon's office wanted 14 full weeks of liquid + the day before surgery Clear Liquids. Yeesh!

The only thing I'm struggling with is caffeine withdrawal! I was a HUGE fan of caffeine - I've had a foggy headache since this weekend when I quit cold turkey :(

How is yours going? Can you have solids?

I was not looking forward to this liquid diet lol I’ma huge carb lover unfortunately for me. Only solid I can have is a hard boiled egg!! My mind woke up hungrier than ever today. & I felt that on the caffeine cause a coffee a day keeps the headaches away 😂

  9. Hey y’all I literally just started my 2 week pre op diet today and I’m already experiencing some head hunger lol I’m super excited and nervous. I saw some ladies talking about their cycles and I was scared on that because mines supposed to start a few days before my surgery! Any tips? Lol
