hiiiiii....how are you doing on your weight loss? i was banded by Dr Adam Smith. Is your Dr in the same office as his off Forest Park Blvd?

I think it will be helpful to share our menus. Give us all some ideas. Today I skipped breakfast, since I had to take this pill last night that knocks me out. For lunch I had, some canned chicken and mashed potatoes from Chicken Express. For dinner, bow tie pasta with Ragu sauce. Will have sugar free chocolate pudding for a snack 4 hrs after dinner.

Is the Whey protein powder pretty good? I can just mix it with soup, yogurt or pudding?

I take the same ones, watermelon flavor. I thought we were only suppose to take 1. Are we suppose to take them with meals?

How much are you eating at each meal? Are you tracking your calories? Drinking your water? I was banded Aug 4th and was told to only eat 1/2 cup at each meal ( 4 oz ) And to eat every 4 hrs.

Yes, you should take a multiple vitamin everyday for the rest of your life. I bought my chewable vitamins at my Drs office. Some of the ladies mentioned they take the kiddie Flintstones.

That must be hard waiting so long on your first fill and being so hungry. My surgery was Aug. 4th, my first fill is scheduled for Aug. 26th. Your story of eating after work sounds just like I use to be. I would come home, come to my computer to check emails, and eat chips, my favorite snack. Hang in there, stay busy doing something when you get the urge to snack. Drinking your Protein Drink on your way home is a great idea, I do the same.

I'm sure it will get easier as I go. Plus, I have to drink 2 of the 25 gram protein bullets. Well...better go and start sipping !! thanks

oops...30 min before a meal...not mean.

Just wondering if anyone here is having trouble getting their 64oz's. of fluids a day. My Dr. will allow Crystal light in 32 oz, but would like the other 32 to be plain water. I just cant do it. I sip all day. I have to stop drinking 30 min before a mean, then wait another hour after I eat to start up again. We must take small sips, so any ideas would be apprciated. ITS HARD !!

What do u use in your protein shake. Will you share your recipe with me plz.?

Have you checked with your Dr's office. My Dr sells those, I bought some today. I love the fruit punch.

I have the same problem with the loose stools. I am on liquids now. IT IS TERRIBLE. I go back to work Thurs and I'm concerned. lol, i may have to buy some Depends. :whatchutalkingabout

Everynight since my surgery Aug. 4th I have been running a low grade temp. It starts around 5:30 pm, the highest it has ran is 100.1. Is anyone else running a fever this long after surgery. ??

Yes, the same happened to me last week. My surgery was Aug. 4th. I felt great tues and wed, then on thurs I started feeling very sick at my stomach, started having dry heaves bad. Friday it was the same. Called Dr. Friday, he had me go to his office. He deflated my band, gave me a shot for upset stomach. By the time I went down 5 floors to ground level, I had dry heaves again ... so embarrassed, people were sitting in lobby. :whatchutalkingabout Saturday morning I woke up my Mom and Hubby and said lets go to ER. ( 5am ) I was dry heaving and it would not stop. I was DEHYDRATED. They gave me 2 bags of IV. Took a urine test and it showed not calories in my urine. They did cat scan and I am so thankful band is ok. Today is the first day I have felt pretty good since I have been pretty weak, and my tummy was very swollen. Going back to Dr. tomorrow. Hope he puts me on something beside liquids, getting tired of chicken noodle broth, jello, tea, protein shots..etc. so do keep a sippy cup in your hand at all times, I didnt know.

Count me in, sounds like fun. Will post my weight loss on Friday the 15th. Today, 1 week since my surgery I am down 17 lbs since my pre-op diet started July 21st. Hopefully lose a couple of lbs by the 15th since I am still on liquid diet due to a complication I had after surgery last week that left me in the ER all day on Saturday. Pj

oops...i copied that from yesterday....lol feeling better today, alot of spasms in center of my chest. they gave me medicine for the spasms. dr said this goes along with it. ( surgery )

I just got home from being in the hospital all day. i just want to warn you.....sip..sip..sip all day. i got myself dehydrated, i was having dry heaves soooo bad for 3 days, so very sick at my stomach. went to drs office yesterday and he deflated my band gave me a shot for nausea, this morning at 4am...dry heaves again. was in emergency room all day, given 2 bags of iv, and a cat scan. the good news is my band is ok. i will always have my Water, Protein drink in hand. i'm sure you all know to do this, just wanted to warn you. Thanks Kristen, I feel so much better now, still have the spasms between my breast, dr said that goes along with the surgery, they gave me some medicine yesterday to control that. I haven't had any gas pains, lol..just everything else.

Yes, I do drink coffee. They didn't tell me to give that up, only sodas. Here it is 5:37 am, been up most of night unable to sleep. Didn't know it was the hydrogodon ( sp) not taking that anymore. I think my headaches are from not eating. I weighted a few min ago, I lost 4 lbs since yesterday. I sipped on applesauce, tomato soup, and slim fast on and off yesterday. I was wondering if its ok for us to chew our daily vitamin while I'm healing? Calling Dr. today, I have a list of questions.

I'm having headaches bad everyday. My pain medicine is liquid hydracodone. I thought maybe the headaches was from not eating.
