I got lucky and not having to do the liquid diet before. i'm on a strict diet, but i can eat 3 meals a day. since monday i have lost 8 lbs. what is a cpap machine? what is needed for the hospital? i was told, lose clothing, ( i bought a cute moo moo type long dress) slip on shoes. drs office called yesterday and told my hubby my meds will be ready to pick up at a compound pharmacy.

Orea, I noticed your surgery date is in 4 days. Will be anxious to hear from you, mine will be 5 days later. You must be so excited !! I can't wait.

I switched to tylenol last week after pre-op meeting. i normally took nuprin for pain. hopefully no more bp meds or celebrex.

thank you both for explaining that to me. i was told you stop the celebrex 1 week before surgery.

9 more days to go !! I'm getting a little nervous. Been on my pre-op diet since this past Monday, I've lost 8 lbs. My diet is great, I can eat 3 meals a day, I was so afraid I was going to be on the liquid diet like some of you posted.

Wow...that is great, being off your meds. I am so hoping for that. I take a bp medicine, and celebrex. Premarin I will always take. Celebrex is for my lower back, but with the weight loss, hoping I won't need it anymore. WTG on your weight loss!! :tt2:

Are the oven baked fish sticks breaded? Are they pretty good? The only fish I like is tuna, salmom croquettes, long john silver, or popcorn shrimp. all a no-no except the tuna. I am going today to buy some talipia, I have been told it doesnt have the fishy taste.

Can you eat fruit sauces, vege juice, any type of Soup as long as there are no chunks, thinned cream of wheat, cream of rice, malt o meal. or grits? My surgery date is Aug. 4th. I have my instruction pamplet in front of me now looking at what I can eat on 3rd day. How about some LOW CARB Slim Fast...i love those.

My surgery date is Aug. 4th. I'm curious to know, how long will I go after surgery before I get my first fill? Also, how long before solid food.

I bought the Bariatric Advantage Watermelon chewables from my Dr. its ok. I think I will try the lemon next. 13 more days to go :thumbup:

I went to my pre op appt Friday. Tomorrow I start my 2 week pre-op diet. I was told to eat 3 meals a day. Portein, vegetables. No peas, corn, or starchy veggies. Protein supplements/ shakes. I have 2 questions. 1. I have been told to eat 5o grams of protein a day. Does that mean NOT to go over 50 grams? 2. Can someone give me some ideas on what to eat for breakfast, the only thing i can come up with is eggs, or protein shake. ( I do not like cheese )
