    Fat stories

I volunteer at a place that houses a variety of exotic animals and we are constantly cleaning crates when there are babys or small animals around. Anyway, someone took a photo of me and another girl cleaning side by side crates for the coatimundis and it was just awful. My ass was the entire opening to the large crate and the dainty little thing next to me you could hardly see. Now how many people walking by everyday I was cleaning said in their heads, "WOW fat ass!" who knows but it was rather embarrassing once I saw in. WOOOT for a new beginning and new journey!
  4. Happy New Year NorCal! Been a while since I have been to this thread. how is everyone's journey coming?

Which free tracking site is best?

I use my daily plate on livestrong.com and love it. Calculates EVERYTHING including exercise all in one. Working really well for me too. You can have it calculate what your daily intake should be if you want to loose or maintain at the weight you give them. My likey!

    Protein Supplement Suggestions

I like mixing Gensoy chocolate Protein mix with Light vanilla Soy milk. (silk) It is like having a chocolate fix all the time. And I only drink them if I think I am low on my protein count at the end or beginning of the day. Those bullets I used in the very beginning with I was on liquids still. I think the fruit one was my favorite flavor and I got them at GNC also.
  7. See it is comments like this that just tear me up...Don't get me wrong I have thought that about plenty of people (including myself) my whole life. But you NEVER say that to someone in public. When I was little if I said something rude to someone I had hell to pay when I got home. What ever happened to "if you can't say something nice don't say anything nice at all" (to quote Thumper from Bambie) ??? I won't even say that to family members, because I know if they are anything like me, they are well aware of how big they are and who tight their clothes are getting and don't need the world pointing it out in public! The people I do joke around with we have a standing agreement and they dish it and I take it and dish it back...but that is behind closed doors and for our own humor. oops that ended up a rant. hehehe

I have failed my band - SUPPORT GROUP

YAY someone else who struggles like me!!!! I am plateau city! I know I am suppose to be loosing around 1.5-2 pounds a week and it just isn't happening. I snack on stupid crap sometimes and I work at a place that makes yummy fruit juices...which as we all know is an occupational hazard and wasted calories. A support group is a great idea. Here is how I track calories and protein: I found this great website from someone on here... LIVESTRONG.COM - Health, Fitness, Lifestyle (not the lance site) I love it because for the most part it calculates EVERYTHING for you. and I love that. Best wishes to all in this new year!
  9. I know I am late... But a snotty woman at work (who works out 2 hours a day, has new boobs, some work on the face and I understand a small tummy tuck) was inquiring about the lap band. She is one of those little itty bitty petite women who really is gorgeous. However, she cut me off to demand why I couldn't do it with out the band. "I don't understand why you needed a band, why couldn't you do it?" In which case I swore never to discuss my weight or personal well being with her ever again. Too bad. She seemed like she could have been fun. You all are right it makes no sense to hurt people the way they do but the best defense is to not breed it.
  10. Well that is pretty cool. Maybe if you have some time you could volunteer with them! I hear Llamas are very sweet once they get to know you. :) And since you are withering away like me people will be more receptive to you volunteering. I give educational tours and since the weight is dropping all of a sudden I am getting more and more complements. :( The information and delivery never changed. I think that is a sad but am happy I am reaching out and teaching the public about endangered species. :)

    quick comparing glace

Thanks! I never thought of it that way hehehe. I thought people would enjoy the two shots next to eachother!
  16. Nah. I work at a place that houses a lot of different animals though. Most of our animals are special needs (ie blind or heart problems) It is a blessing! One day I hope to go back to school and maybe be a vet tech or study them in the wild :)

    Where do you live?

    Fill mistakes

The second doc I had (Dr. Billy) told me that another reason they have hard time finding ports has to do with the type of port they put in you. He said as he was looking that my doctor was typical in choosing the smallest of ports which makes them difficult to find. So that is a factor. And I also have a 4cc max fill band...though it says 10cc all they can fill is 4cc. I had never heard of a puncture looking for a port...wow that is scarey I am glad that didn't happen!
  20. What a new year it will be for all of us! Congrats to everyone! I will be out tonight and tomorrow so won't have time to wish everyone a safe and happy new year!

    Hair Loss

That is strange about the anesthesia. I wonder why that is??? I started out with REALLY thick and curly hair. So now that it is falling out at a huge rate the shower walls are just like a chubaka portrait. On the flip side it has been getting easier to brush because it is thinning out a little. I feel bad for those of you with thin and fine hair to begin with and hope it all gets back to normal soon!
  22. I did my pre-op diet in two stages. 1 week of liquids only. Much like what you described and the week before surgery was Clear Liquids only. So only broth and Jello, although they said nothing about red jello. It sucked and I was pretty hungry...However, after surgery I wasn't really hungry until about 6 weeks out. (bloating and such) Hope this helps a little.
