Did anyone get their surgery in December 2020? I want to learn about the experience. I had my surgery on December 4, and it’s been great, but there’s always questions that only the ones that had gone through it can answer. Care to join?

My surgery took 30-40 minutes.

Yes. It is. Don’t worry about it because even if you wanted you won’t be able to eat like before. It happened to me also. Not only that, I actually got depressed because all I wanted was to eat, eat, eat! That was the moment I discovered how much I used food out of emotions. I got bored, sad, angry but then... it all went away. Give it time. Your brain needs to learn, and it will. Congratulations!

This is my life and I don’t owe anybody anything. I’m sure some people suspect, considering I’ve lost almost 130 lbs in less than a year. But I don’t need comments or judgement, or even support or encouragement. I just needed 85% of my stomach removed.Absolutely! Congratulations!!!!

I am still hungry and I am only supposed to be able to tolerate 2-4oz at a time yesterday I was so thirsty and drink like 3 bottles of sugar free diet tea and 4 bottles of Water really didn’t think that was normal so just to see today I ate a cup of rice and nothing🤔🤔🤔 I think my surgeon just cut my stomach open and did nothing, my husband said the surgery took like 20 minutes! I’m sure I still have the same stomach and now feel so hopeless after I was so hopeful 😩😩😩
OMG! Can you check with another doctor? Maybe they can take a look and validate if the sleeve is ok. Hope everything is fine.

I regret I didn’t do it sooner but I get it. I was so scared of this surgery that I tried everything else before; including the balloon! Gained it all back except the money. I had my sleeve surgery last December. Started at 200 now I weigh 147. Again, I regret not doing this sooner.

I had my sleeve last December and was allowed to drink 1 1/2 months after. The wine that my dietitian recommended is dry. Since I like white, I drink Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay.

I got my surgery in December 2020, and even though I lost a lot of weight at the beginning, now it’s very, very slow. I am 151 now, but I’m scared I’ll stay there. I want to get to my goal of 135.
