But I wouldn’t eat anything with the bun so ask for it without bun

I mean these are starting at Phase 5. I only looked it up because eventually I will have to eat it even if it’s while traveling I won’t always have a kitchen with me but be mindful you won’t eat it all and the best ones are on top and if it’s fried they cut the potion down although we should avoid fried foods 🤷🏽♀️

But I am one of the people having issues eating because when I try something it hits like a rock when I eat it sucks

I don’t know how to answer only because I’m at my third week too but I haven’t tried as much food variety. Besides the fact that I had a rash ( I’m allergic to something just don’t know what yet could be glue/ soap/ Vitamins etc) I am also feeling well. I had one good I tried didn’t sit well with me but other than that I tolerate Beans, fish and I do chug Water too I tried the sips couldn’t do it. Also I lost 20 pounds since preop so in three and a half weeks and my doctor was exited but then I measured last week and only 2 pounds, compared to 11 I lost the first week. I think it’s all just a work in progress. I’m afraid now that I’m in phase 3 I won’t loose as much either because I’m I taking real food but it’s a marathon not a race so if I were you don’t compare yourself because I did that before and i know how you can feel like a failure if you don’t loose as much as the next person. Take it day by day and I too only consume 300-500 calories in this stage. I’m optimistic it’s because we are new at this. You can go back to two shakes and one supper with just puréed food but that’s up to you. Don’t give up

I got WLS on 2/10 and I quickly started quitting big itching red areas around the incisions and I’m not on day 9 or 10 post op and it got worse I’m allergic to the glue I took it off like the doctor told me and put cold compress but I’m afraid of the mark it could leave. The one thing I loved about WLS is the small incisions now I have big red spots of allergic reaction on all of them.

I have standard. Just had the surgery on the 10th usually it was 35% coinsurance for my surgeon but they had waived it for me so whatever my insurance paid them was it but since it’s the start of the year I had not met my deductible so I had to pay 350 for the overnight stay and my deductible so I paid 700 for my surgery and hospital total. For you since the doctor might not waive it it could be the 20-35% of the cost for the surgeon and the overnight stay maybe. Your surgeons office should be able to tell you the estimate for their part since they work with your insurance ( also not I used an out of network provider so my 35% is higher if you use an in network it’s a smaller percentageOn 02/16/2021 at 13:21, Grahamco said:
Do you how much out of pocket it will cost you? Just the surgery and hospital stay. Not all the other appt.

Hey ! I was sleeved on the 10th too. My first week I haven’t put more than 8-10 oz of Water honestly. Unfortunately you couldn’t handle the pop that’s what I have been replying on and Jello. I’m sorry you are having a bad time I hope they answer quick and even if they have to it you better than nothing and dehydrating hopefully it’s better for you. I threw up all first day including not coming out the anesthesia for over 4-5 hours and throwing up blood and then just whatever was in there lol besides being allergic to the glue they put over my incisions and being on Benadryl now cuz it’s a bad bad rash and itching lol. I honestly hope you get better. The popsicle should have been good since you would dissolve it in your mouth first tiny pieces and it goes down smoother than a sip of water but I’m sorry it didn’t work. Hoping you get better and answers tomorrow. On 02/16/2021 at 20:06, BayouTiger said:

I have not been sleeved yet but I certainly would call your surgeon and tell him / her what is going on with you. This might be from throwing up so much that you might be swollen but better they know what is going on with you especially since you can't get anything down. I hope you feel better soon.
Thank y’all so much for responding. My surgical team was not in office today, as it’s Mardi Gras holiday plus severe ice storm here in Louisiana, so the whole surgery center is closed. My mom (who was sleeved one week prior to me, 2/3/21) is having such a smooth sailing recovery, 34 years my senior, and it’s making me feel so discouraged.
I got some popsicles today and that seemed to be the most pleasant way to get the liquids in, until halfway through the first one my pouch started burning like it had been lit on fire. So now I’m back at square 1. With my little medicine dropper and my room temp water/G0 mix! Tomorrow makes a week out, and on our program we can go to Protein pudding and creamy Soup, and I just don’t even see how that’s in the realm of possibility for me now!
Hopefully Doc and the NUT call me back first thing tomorrow, I really don’t want to end up back in with IV fluids!! They blew 6 stick sites while I was there last week
Thanks again for replying y’all! This misery is tilting me towards buyers remorse mentality and I don’t want to be there, I just want to get over the hump!!!

This is a reply I gave someone about the food loss portion of their post I think it might help you with the being depressed over food. I was a 36 BMI so I’m considered not part of the high club and most people would say I shouldn’t have gotten it which is why only about 5 people know about it and I won’t tell anyone else. I don’t need the Criticism while I recover. On 02/16/2021 at 20:31, JanetteP said:
Hello!
Most people say I don’t need it... but It Has been a constant struggle to lose weight and sometimes losing it but not being able to keep it off since I was a teenager. I’m 34 years old and making the decision now to be able to snap back and heal properly.
My BMI is 30. Having surgery on March 19 in Mexico, I’m Mexican living in the US. I do have insurance but I don’t qualify because of my low BMI so I decided to get it in Mexico.
I’m super excited but nervous at the same time. I guess is just the general surgery nervousness but also not knowing how is it going to be after surgery. One of my concerns is being depressed about not being able to eat and enjoy food as I do right now... can anyone relate? I know is silly but it’s true.
“ I’m only one week post op but I can tell you this if you are reading this. The food restrictions how we overthink them aren’t really all that I know we think we will never eat certain foods but there are so many options for those of those that love food. Health is number one but if you google, Pinterest or even just ask there are so many good recipes and substitutes for meals that you can still enjoy the same. Yes we are eating less and not binge eating but it shouldn’t be like that regardless first week has been hard for me but I have spent the time I have no work planning out and researching basically a lifetime of changes. I follow people on social media that have been 1,2,3,4 even 10 years post op and they have their journeys up and what they eat and how they feel and it made me feel great. Even BariatricPal has items that resemble the real thing but are tailored to us. I know it’s not the post you all want to see it is more tailored to the part in your post were you might think you will suffer over food. Honestly I love penne vodka and Pasta and I know I can’t eat a whole plate how I used to but I found ways to replicate good recipes with low carb Keto or no sugar items.”JanetteP reacted to this -

I am in NJ. I just had mine last week on about to go into phase two tomorrow. I did not have to do a pre liquid diet except for clear liquids a day before surgery. Literally the week prior I stuffed and ordered out everyday foods I knew I wouldn’t be able to ever consider eating n I even lost 5 pounds preop I don’t know how lol because all I ate was Pasta and fried food 🤷🏽♀️ but it all depends on your surgeon. I wouldn’t personally eat the day prior it helped during surgery in my opinion but other than that it worked for me to eat prior to that. Good luck !! First week stressfull though but you can get through it

I’ve had no issues, no throw up or anything only today felt lightheaded

You might want to change ur doctor because those who care will get it for you. Specially with the high blood pressure . Some have their internal dietician and they do the program needed for the insurance too.
-
Thanks for that because I was worried I’m only four days post op and one of the glue came off and the incision didn’t look all that closed so I’m a first time freaking out but I put a bandaid on it my post op is in a week so we will see

Thanks for this I thought it was a mandated tule not to . I’m on my 4th day post op and they told me all the ins and out except sleeping lol
-
So I’m like afraid today last night I went to bed with no pain meds so I won’t rely on them but I woke up at 2 am and I had been sleeping on my stomach usually I’m always on my side or my back slightly sitting or inclined. I am afraid that will now cause a leak. I’m been scared of a leak ever since surgery last week.

Yeah mine itch too. One of my incision glue is coming off so I’m a bit nervous but put the chips away!!!! Jaja not worth it we got this far just keep on pushing. I lost five pounds pre op and lost 5 since after the operation and I’m still bloated and slow Len so I know it’s a bit more and I know they say don’t be obsessed over the scale but that’s my motivation tight now if not I would have hurt myself with the damn strawberry lol
