  1. Thanks for your responses! It’s definitely a different hunger post op and you do get full up quite quickly. I think I’m still trying to navigate all the feelings still! :)
  2. Thanks for your reply! Yes so true sometimes we get too caught up in everyone else hey. I agree that you have to listen somewhat to your bodies queues! Thanks again :)
  3. Hi all! Just wondering how many of you experience hunger and how long post op? :) It really is such a mind game isn’t it - I feel like I am constantly worrying I’m over eating, eating too little., have I stretched things.... gah!
  4. I weigh in weekly every Thursday. Daily changes too much and does my head in and I’m trying to be more balanced this journey :)
  5. Thanks so much for the responses!
  6. Haha so true!! Thanks so much. I had a terrible episode this morning and was in agony! I’ll get some benefiber and more fruit! ?
  7. Hi all! Has anyone experienced lazy bowels and constipation post op and if yes what do you take for it?
  8. I was sleeved around 11pm (meant to be 4pm LOL) and left the next day at 3pm :)
  9. Oh goodness you poor thing that must be extremely hard to deal with! I would be demanding the doc do some further investigating as I don’t think that’s normal five months post op you could have a structure or some form of dysmotility. I would definitely be wanting some hours. Hope things get better for you soon!
  10. I believe also that having liquids on top of solid food can stretch your stomach
  11. Argh yes it sure is! I hope it hurries for you!! I’m 40 this year and hubby and I have been trying for almost 19 years. We have a couple of frozen embryos left so were hoping to go and use them when I’m able to. such a balancing act isn’t it!
  12. Yes sure does! Bit of a long story but the reason I’m not keen for bypass is I’m wanting to do one last round of IVF and I will have a limited window for that. I’ll just see how we go I guess. Thank you! I hope things work for you too :)
  13. He wants to monitor it for six months in the hope that perhaps the symptoms will improve some and then if not we will do an endoscopy and he will try a balloon dilatation and he said if that all doesn’t work bypass is the only sure fix. He said to take an hour for meals and go really slow. I’m really not keen on having to go to bypass so we shall see hey. Thanks so much for asking!
  14. Oh ok Thanku for the info! I haven’t had any GERD or reflux amazingly and I have the feeling like I’d like to regurge but I haven’t. Mainly the chest pain and stuck feeling and a quite bit of gurgling noises with eating and drinking for a good hour and a half after meals. I’ve been forcing myself to eat and drink but it has been unpleasant :( Sorry to hear you’ve been so unwell! I hope things get better soon for you!
  15. Thank you for the reply! I’m sorry to hear you’ve gone through that. I had my sleeve 9 weeks ago and on recent barium swallow they’ve seen the esophageal dysmotility. I also had a hernia repair at the time of the sleeve. I’ve had the chest pain/ stuck feeling on eating and drinking most things. I talk to the surgeon this afternoon so wondering what he’ll say ?
  16. Hi there Has anyone been diagnosed with eosophageal dysmotility post VSG?
  17. No it’s best to avoid fizzy drinks. Try taking your multivitamins after food as I also experienced sickness with them if I had them on an empty stomach :)
  18. I’m 9 weeks post up (60 something days) and have lost 46lbs all up including the 2 weeks pre op diet :)
  19. Thanks for the replies! Wow Neensyb 2 tablespoons! How are you finding getting your protein goals in? I have a feeling I may be rushing too much so will really try harder to slowwww down :)
  20. Absolutely not! You MUST stick to the post op diet.
  21. First of all don’t let it send you down a bad path. Put it in your rearview mirror and be determined to do better. Secondly I would highly recommend seeing a psychologist if you’re not already. Also check you’re drinking enough fluids and having enough protein. You’re so early post op and it can be very dangerous eating the wrong things x
  22. Hi all! How long do you take to eat a meal? 9 weeks post op here :)
  23. Hi there! You’re doing awesome with your food and exercise go you! But perhaps you are burning a little too much and especially 6x a week. Perhaps cut down to 4x and maybe a nice stroll if you want to keep active to see if it helps :)
