  1. No, you do not need to pay for it. I have only gotten it to work when I am logged in to my computer. When I use my computer, in the upper part where the black bar is with your name and profile picture, click the down arrow. Then click 'my surgery' and it will allow you to update the details of your surgery once you are on that page. If you want to add weight, etc. click on 'progress' off to the left. I hope this helps.

    Pre surgery tests

I had a urine test. They checked for blood in my urine and said they do a urine test on all their patients just in case there is an infection they want to be able to treat it before surgery. However, I’m sure every clinic is different.
  3. I had the same feeling in my sternum while drinking. My surgeon said I was taking too big of drinks, drinking too quickly, or both. Hope that helps.
  4. I assume my eating will be similar to yours when I am fully recovered, Jaelzion. I tend to get hungry mid-morning and in the afternoon (3-4 pm ish). A string cheese, serving of fruit, or serving of beef jerky are all I need, though.
  5. @Tim C my surgery weight (day of surgery) was 217.2 and as of this morning I was 204.4. I had surgery on 3/15.
  6. I'm a teacher who only gets 20 minutes for lunch... 😫
  7. Thank you @ms.sss. It is super hard to tell how much I can eat when I just started being able to eat food!
  8. That makes sense. Thank you @Creekimp13!
  9. Mine have gone away since having surgery. Probably because my body finally adjusted to the diet.

    Wow! Size 6?????

I love the polka dot dress on you!
  11. I take a flinstones chewable with iron (not tasty), iron, B12, and calcium citrate.
  12. Thanks everyone. I’m going to look into protein hot cocoa. I already have genepro on hand, so I’ll start using some more of that. I’ve been sipping on my protein water as well. I might just stick to my Fairlife milk until Tuesday because the protein drink I had today actually made me vomit ☹️
  13. I am almost 2 weeks post op. I am finding that all protein drinks make me nauseous to the point where I usually can’t even finish them. I’m not even getting close to my protein goal because of this. So, I’m really at a loss. If I drink the protein shakes, I get nauseous. If I don’t drink the protein shakes, I get shaky and nauseous. Any help? I see my dietician Tuesday.
  14. Thank you for the suggestions. I am still on the liquid phase of my diet, so I’m not sure about the Greek yogurt and other things until Tuesday. Everything else I eat/drink does not make me sick, but protein drinks just make my stomach churn for some reason.

    Any March 2021 Sleeve Patients?

@Flaca526 hang in there. My first 3 days were rough (though not as bad as yours) but I promise you it gets much better. I noticed I felt better the more I got up and moved around as well. You’ve got this!
  16. The other day I had a comment on how much smaller my face looked, so I looked at a couple photos to compare and wow.... I do already look so much different!

    Seeing some changes

Thank you all! I’ve lost 22 pounds between these pictures.
  18. I’m still on my liquid diet and sometimes I get pain in my breastbone area when drinking/eating broth. I think I am taking small enough drinks, but is it possible the drinks I’m taking are too big? Also, I’m supposed to move onto purées next Tuesday but I’m scared of still having this pain. Can anyone offer some advice?

    Incision Pain

I am still on liquids 😩 hoping my dietician will advance me to purées next Tuesday when I see her. My surgeon has a pretty strict plan: 2 weeks liquid after surgery, 2 weeks purées, 2 weeks soft foods, then regular food. It is unheard of that my surgeon advanced people any sooner than that.

    Glad to hear that!!!

    Protein drink idea

I made a protein shamrock shake this morning. 1 bottle Fairlife nutrition plan vanilla, a handful of ice, mint extract. Tastes so good but made a huge serving!
  22. Hello! I am a week post op and still on liquids. I also have been struggling with protein drinks and reaching my protein intake. I was perusing Walmart today and was in the baking aisle. I stopped at the extracts and flavorings and noticed a wide variety. I picked up the cake batter flavor and the strawberry flavor but they also had banana, lemon, spearmint, maple, etc. I just added a dash of the cake batter flavoring to 8 oz skim milk and 1/2 scoop of protein powder and I prefer the taste so much more! I just thought this would be something else some other people could try if they’re getting tired of the same things.

    Protein drink idea

@Creekimp13 and @Terri77 I’m still on liquids, so I didn’t think I was allowed to have any solids blended yet 😩
