I am 10 weeks post op. Down 36 pounds and couldn't be happier. I can not compare this to VSG other than the down time is considerably shorter and there are less risk with ESG. There is an ESG Facebook group that has great information and people that can give you advice (Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty Support Group USA). Fierce.esg.diva has a great IG and YouTube page that give you her perspective on ESG. She is almost 1 year post op.

Hello! What city are you in? I and 5 days post op. I have had a rough time as well, but doing a little better each day. Everyone is different. Don’t judge your progress based on others. Hi there. I saw in a later post that you had the ESG procedure recently. Did you go with Dr. Blosser in Reston? I live in the area and my doctor gave me his name so I’m considering a consult. I’m curious to hear your experience and who you ended up using.

Ok. I dont want to offend in any way, but technically WLS is elective surgery.
But even with that said, the decision is up to the hospital (and maybe even your state?) to perform elective surgeries. If the facility and surgeon deem it safe to perform, then it is safe to perform! If it wasn’t, then they wouldn’t.
I hope any decision you make to go thru (or not) with the surgery is based on your own feelings on the matter, and NOT from some judgy-mcJudger who slaps on a “selfish” label and presumes to know better than your surgical team/hospital.
