  1. I am 1 month post op today. And I am literally grossed out by everything. Even when I think something is going to be delicious to eat (for example tuna) couple bites in I'm so over it and never want to see it again. I'm running out of food options during this soft food diet here [emoji31] It's actually very frustrating and I wanna cry. Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    3 Months Post Op

Tomorrow I will be 12 weeks post op gastric sleeve and I've only lost 40 lbs. I don't eat what I'm not supposed to, so I don't understand why I'm not loosing as fast. My appointment with Dr. is in April, and at the 2 week appointment he said I should be around 60lb loss by April. I will admit that exercising is my biggest struggle. I feel so frustrated [emoji24] Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    3 Months Post Op

You're right! I most likely wouldn't have lost the weight if I hadn't had surgery. Now that the weather is getting nicer I am going to start on afternoon walks. I wanted to join the gym close to my house but I hate contracts and you have to sign a 12 month one. May sound like an excuse but for someone who lives paycheck to paycheck it's a legit concern haha. 11. I had sleeve surgery 12/29 so I am about 7 weeks post op. I have lost 30lbs since surgery date. I feel like I should be losing more, even the dietitian agreed. But so far I've been able to tolerate foods, I've never had dumping, I do need to get more protein and water in, but I feel good. Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    6 weeks post op food

Hello! I'm curious seeing as how super bowl is coming up, how many have tried eating hot queso at 6 weeks? What about wings with no skin?? What was everyone eating at 6 weeks post op? Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Don't knock the cauliflower crust until you try it. I am also very picky and was hesitant in trying it. I tried getting the frozen cheese cauliflower crust pizza from Walmart and shredded up some turkey deli meat and added a little more cheese. I was only able to eat about half a piece 4 weeks post op but it was good! Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Protein & Vitamins

Ok everyone I have questions!! My program requires me to take * Bariatric Multivitamin * Calcium Citrate * Vitamin B12 * Probiotic * Iron * Vitamin D Where does everyone buy their vitamins? Specifically the Multivitamin and Calcium?? Also, had anyone tried the Nectar fruity flavors? What do they taste like?? I read somewhere on here that they taste like juice rather than milky protein shakes. Can anyone confirm this?? I am so over milky chalky protein shakes. Protein & Vitamins

So my program said that I could drink the Isopure waters but my fluid intake and wouldn't count towards my protein goal. It seems that my program has alot of those kind of rules. For example I can only drink Whey Isolate protein shakes. I'm not able to eat anything spicy until 3 months to avoid ulcers. Just different things. I am really trying to heed their advice, but it is somewhat difficult in this learning phase. I am 5 weeks post op today. 1 more week t regular diet! Protein & Vitamins

Thank you all for your responses, I'm glad I have this information going forward. I just bought my multivitamin yesterday in a chewable, mainly because I have a hard time swallowing pills and even the chewable was HUGE. I also got the chewable probiotic. Still need to get the calcium chews. Now I'm really going to try the Nectar shakes, SO over the milky ones. Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    everything tastes gross!

That happened to me too, and even now that I am on soft food diet. I find these recipes I wanna try and I get all jazzed up and make it, then a couple bites in I'm grossed out and never wanna see it again. It's slowly passing. I'm not sure the reason, but I know it's frustrated. Just keep in mind it gets easier. [emoji18] Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Hey ya'll! I had VSG on 12/29 and I'm 3 weeks post op. I am having a couple issues maybe some of you have experienced the same thing. First: I feel my weight loss is going very slow. My doctor said last week I'm doing good and am where I should be, but I thought I'd be losing more. (HW: 329, SW: 315, CW: 297) Second: I started soft foods last Tuesday and I have not pooped in over a week! I will say this...my protein and water intake is SHITTY and is no where it should be. Third: My program doesn't allow me to have salsa, avacado, tomato sauce, so it's bee hard to find things to eat. Any advice is appreciated! [emoji173] P.S- I miss wings, popcorn, and coke [emoji31] Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

I live in Texas and tomatoes are a staple in our Mexican household so it's been a little challenging. I am definitely getting closer to meeting my water goal each day Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

    VSG 3 week Post Op

The dietitian said the reason no spicy or acidic foods are allowed in the vegetable is to prevent an ulcer from forming. I do drink the Gatorade zero and water but am never able to meet the 64oz goal. I bought some isopure protein powder that's supposed to make a fruity drink and i hated it, it's so sour! But I'm trying Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app
