I love almond milk but only the almond breeze light 40 calories one. The silk is disgusting. You might have an allergy to it, if it gave you the runs.

Mine too! I am in the process of testing and seeing if it has to be removed! Not so much fun. I didn't loose my weight fast either so I am just not sure.
-
Completely normal. I finally have restriction after almost 2 years. Be careful. I gained 30lbs.
-
Mine is on my left side and I feel it in everything I do. Bend over, sitting down, picking up my son, leaning on a counter. I cannot wear jeans if I have to sit down for more then 15 minuets. It is a pain in the butt.

What a Jerk Face!
Bands aren't dying out. My doctor does more bands then bypasses.
Also...You are only suppose to loose up to 70% of your excess weight in 5 years. So if you are a 100 over you are expected to loose 70lbs in 5 years.
Be proud of your accomplishments. You are truely an inspiration to everyone. I have been banded for almost 2 years and I had a horrible weight gain and my doctor keeps pushing me.
KEEP GOING BE PROUD!

I could tolerate some bread. It is a learning experience, but we are here to make a change. Good Luck in your journey!

I was super excited and was counting down the days. I wanted to be healthy and I knew diet and exercise alone were not enough. I needed another tool.
I have had plenty of surgeries before so I wasn't nervous about this one. This was a life changing surgery, because I wanted to change my life.
I knew this surgery would help me be more active in my sons life. It meant I would be happy and healthy.

I always have port pain. I was banded 8/2008. It is not constant but I cannot wear jeans without it hurting when I sit down. I cannot sit period for a long time. I always have that reminder it is there.

It is good to read these posts. I have been going crazy. I was banded August 2008 and I think I finally have restriction. I ended up gaining back 30lbs of what I lost and here I am again to try to loose it again.
My favorite is FF refried Beans with FF sour cream and salsa. sooo yummy.

Well I have been MIA from the boards for a long time. i just have been extremely upset with the band. I have gained alot of the weight back and have had a zillion fills and nothing nothing at all. I am going to speak with my doctor about getting gastric bypass since I am above a 40 bmi again. I know I dont look it but I carry my weight well in the behind and legs. I am soo fustrated with myself. I diet and exercise and nothing.

I need help with food ideas. I haven't lost weight since January and this last month I finally pushed 5lbs off of me. Which I am very excited for. I just worked harder at the gym.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of foods that are quick and easy to prepare. I dont have time to cook all my meals in one day or to cook every night. I was wondering there is a quick recipe that someone swears by.
For Breakfast I either do pb on light wheat (1 piece obviously) to get Protein or 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled with salsa and ff cheese on top. Those are easy for me.....
Please share your secrets.....
Miss you all! I am going to try to connect more on here again!

I am going to have my port and tubing replaced if my 5th fill doesn't hold like the rest of the ones I have. I should know in a week. I go from being super tight to eating anything and everything.

Have contacted morton hospital and have some information and some information that I need to find. If you are interested please email me at daceyh@gmail.com and I can fill you in on whats going on. It is rather simple.
Hope to see everyone soon!

I know that Morton Hospital has a Gastric bypass support group. I am going to talk to the department that runs it and see if we can have a lapband group meet once amonth. Would anyone be interested in attending in Taunton?
-
Congrats! How is your weight loss going? Mine isn't going anywhere! Where were you banded at? I was born and raised in Raynham. lol small world.

I was wondering if anyone was close to Taunton, MA?? I am interested in starting a local support group. It is hard for myself to drive to Boston after work and a family. I just need some local band buddies....
-
Hey! I am alone in Taunton...Need some support!
-
Hey Everyone! Its been a while since I have posted! I was wondering if anyone is south of boston? I never get to make it to support group since I work until 6pm. I am about to give up hope....I feel like this was pointless to have gotten....

I flew a month and a half after my band was installed and there is nothing to worry about. I even asked my doctor and he said nothing changes at all. Good Luck in your flight!

I am in. I need something. I have been in a funk since January! I dont know what to do. LOL. I have had 4 fills and have a next one on July 1st. Here are my goals and I need all the support I can get.
Memorial Day--->5lbs
4th of July--->5lbs(10 total from today)
August 11th--->5lbs(15lbs total from today)
My long term goal is to be in onderland by August 11th.
I can do it. I set small goals so I dont get discouraged. 15lbs in 3 months is doable.

I absolutely hate the lapband. I wish you the best of luck as i am going through the process of trying to get it removed. It has made everything worst for me.
