  1. I've did something similar, sadly it was part of my family lifestyles I have no control. I notice that after surgery buttery sauces like the ones they used at Red Lobster didn't agree with me, everytime I ate shrimps or steaks in delicious garlic butter goodness I have dumping symptoms. I had sweet potatoes too at some point and hit a weightloss stall for days. Dr scolded me hehehe.

  2. I'm a sloooow loser, average 1.9 pounds (.86 kg) a week. I keep track of my food. 600-700 calories. Days that I eat more than 20g of carbs (usually when I crave bread, I will eat some questionable Keto bread, usually just a single slice) I will stall for days. Sigh, such is life. I'm hungry all the time, I resort to drinking more Water, squeeze my daily exercise or drinking tea.

  3. I have a big family, but I stopped cooking after my surgery [emoji23]. I think I've only cook soft tofu as ground meat with a bit of marinara sauce to pour over zucchini Pasta (frozen small bag Green Giant). The left overs from the tofu I used them to stuff a small Creppini (egg crepes from Sam's) and 3 slices of small pepperoni. I always keep cheese, tofu, refried Beans, canned tuna, canned chicken, cottage and eggs handy. And different sauces, Buffalo, marinara, Korean BBQ. I mix and match depending on what I feel eating. Today I got sushi grade salmon (2-3 oz, full with half) and seaweed, and pretend I'm eating sushi. I'm only texture food phase. My baby stomach feels better with smushy food.
Boyfriend loves to eat outside, I always have left overs that last for days. Thai tofu tom yum Soup. Vietnamese Pho, substitute the noddles with bean sprouts. 20210309_160605.jpg 20210303_132602.jpg

  4. I hear you, my boyfriend enjoys going to restaurants at least once a week, seat and be server. My options will be dump him or make peace with the lifestyle. He understands I went through surgery and is mindfull that the restaurant has something I can eat. Most of them have salmon/broccoli at a minimum. That's what I get, well, ahí since I live in Hawaii. I just eat how the doctor recommended, slow, small bites. Chew until the end of the world and pack the rest. Bar/restaurants are more tricky here. I just order the smallest chicken wings plate or chicken quesadilla, I ended up eating 2 wings or one triangle of the quesadilla. I pack the rest or share with the table. No big deal. Rule of thumb, Proteins first, then salad. Avoid carbs when you can. In this pic, this particular restaurant had Ahi and the side option of rice or sweet potato. I went with the sweet potatoes, got 2 bites after a few bites of ahí, I ate 3 days from this meal. :)

  5. Bariatric Advantage has a Meal Replacement that is chicken broth flavor. It was a life saver for the pre op liquid diet, I would add a drop of Tabasco or hot sauce to enhance the flavor.
You prepared the shake with warm Water ( hot water will make the Protein curd). I highly recommend it.

  6. A natural health doctor recommended me Thorne MediClear shake, some of them has no sugar, for some palates, ut may taste nasty. I love them. Because of my weight Im borderline diabetic, I avoid sugar like the pest (my downfall are fries and salt and vinegar chips). The MediClear shake is the only shake I love, doesnt have that sugary taste because some of them have to sugar (They have a regularversio, a plus version an one to support the liver). They are also whey free, for those who may get skin issues with whey Protein.

I have to use the one the Dr recommends for pre and post, but will switch back to MediClear Plus once Im done with them. Im required to purchase 30 serving for surgery.
