    I Need Help...

    I Would like to know how much longer I hv to keep seeing him b4 I can stop. I guess I hv to lose the weight to get dwn to 165lbs b4 HE'S happy & stop w the negativity 🙃 imma hv to treat him like I use to do w my kids & go to my happy place (ignor him) when I c him 😆 Thanks for talking w my me it's really comforting & brings my sense of humor back

    I Need Help...

    I hv NOT put anything in my oatmeal besides vanilla protein shake. I'm tryna tolerate the powders but they r kinda grainy. I love cottage cheese but not so much ricotta &mash potatoes. I DO put the powders in yogurt to make a smoothie along w some fruit. This dr i hv is a miserable s.o.b. he's just so negative everything i come in & it's only bn twice.... uuuugh... he gets to me then my anxiety flares up. Does anyone knows how long u hv to keep seeing ur surgeon b4 u can stop?! #ijs. Smh

    I Need Help...

    No I hv not tried using unflavored protein to anything.. I do mix my yogurt w my protein drink w some fruit. That usually makes 3 8ozs cups. &that's usually my meals for the day w my water. I don't like mash potatoes. i do like cottage cheese & string cheese. The powder protein drinks are grainy but I'll tolerate it.

    I Need Help...

    I'm going to follow ur routine... 1/4 -1/2 c if foods w the focus on protein. But it'll b mainly oatmeal & yogurt along w water w 1protein drink as a meal (saids the crazy Dr) Thanks for reading &helping me understand where in suppose to be. Yesterday I had a bowl of soup for lunch & was only able to eat half, the other half I ate for dinner had a protein drink for brkfst & 2 sugar free popsicle as a snack. The rest was flavored water.

    I Need Help...

    I stretch sometimes... when I'm feeling good. Otherwise I'm sitting w a pillow behind me to support my back. The weather has been good so I am walking my dogs more. Thank your for your input. I'll push myself more after I see my Dr for a pain shot in my back tomorrow. That should help alot. Well I went to c my Both Dr's yesterday (surgeon & back pain) the surgeon was so HORRIBLE, my anxiety kicked in. I weighted in at 203 & they where suppose to take 3lbs away for the clothes, which they didn't on the chart. So he said i lost ONLY 2lbs when it was actual 5lbs in 3wks. I didn't go to sleep till 430am. My visit w him was almost like a yelling match. Now he wants me to lose 10lbs instead of the 20....uuugh! he making my hair more Grey than what it is & to stop reading the Bariatric Book. First they want me to read it like it was my Bible, now he's telling me NOT to read it! I'm freakin confused... Needless to say I go back in a month. (Uuuugh!) My back pain dr is awesome. No back pain for a while. & I was able to clean my spare bedroom & den. My portions are measured to 3-4oz of protein per serving, veggies 2nd & then starch...I barely hv room for the veggies 😩 which is a fork full &hvnt had starch yet.. sugar free jello & ice pops are my go to snacks 😋 & my protein drink is my breakfast. I spoke w my brother who had this done 2yrs ago told me the things the Dr said I CAN eat I should no b eating NOW... like beans, hamburger meat & chicken. So I'm going back to MUSHY foods...eggs, oatmeal, jello & yogurt Sheeesh in so 😕 confused I'm going to call the nutritionist to c where in suppose to b at 6wks? Bcuz the book also says I should not b eating these things but I'm not suppose to follow the book.... go figure?!

    Post-op Day 2

    It took me 2wks b4 I felt better. The pain meds helped a lot. The incisions were sensitive, but that was too b expected. I didn't hv the nausea till my 3wk, which I thought was weird & it only lasted 2 days, but everyone is different. Keep the faith &keep following the surgeons instructions & you'll b fine. Congrats on taking the first leap into your new life! I'm 7wks post op. & losing slowly but I'm good w that. I feel slower is better since I was only 236lbs when I started & now I'm down to 203lbs. Good luck!!

    I thought they said the scars will FADE? But u look good! Ur my inspiration to walk more to fit into a bikini by the summer.. already bought it so give me some time to walk & exercise ( stretching) to get to where u r. U look awesome!!

    Thanks! I think I'm doing fine too lol. I'll c how the Dr feels about this on Weds when I go in for my 3wk follow up. (Total 5wks post op). Nxt month i should b below 200... fingers crossed. I give myself till at least June to get to my goal weight of 155-160lbs

    Thank you Crick. I am 5'2". & 56yrs old.. I walk as much as I can w my 2 dogs but my anxiety & back pain is tremendously a pain in my ass. But I always thought slower is better. I hv a follow up app Weds, so far I lost 7 more pounds since my last visit 3wks ago. I do get my protein in & my fluids. I know I just hv to MOVE more. The weather's breaking so I should do better w my weight loss.

    I WAS mad but I know I'm doing what I'm suppose to b doing. I'm good w that. He'll get mad by I'll keep up w my visits just to show him that I am sticking to my diet & in this for the LONG HAUL. Thank u for ur support & incouraging thoughts. I appreciate it sincerity.

    So little weight loss

    I'm 6week out here in losing very slowly. My 2wk after post opt visit, my Dr said I only lost 16lbs. He said I should hv lost 20. I was feeling good that that was all I lost. Now I'm a month out. I think I lost MAYBE another 4lbs. My back been killing me for 3 of the 4 was and all I've bn doing is just sitting & laying down to relieve the pain. So when I see the Dr I know he's gonna be upset, but now I'm feeling good & I'm exercising 2x's a day. I hv 3 dislocated disc's in my lower lumbar spine that gives me a fit. But I do try to exercise more. I am sticking to my diet & luckily my stomach let's me know I'm full. Protein drinks, smoothies & my vitamins are my friends. But I just know the Dr is gonna b 😡 but I'm ok w that. I can see the changes in my body. It's slow 🐌, but I'm sticking to this diet. I just figure it'll take me longer than others to get to my goal weight.

    Taste changes for the worst!

    I'm sorry your going through that. I'm 6wks out. I have no problem with smell. My taste buds are funny. I can eat somethings but it doesn't taste like what it smells like. If u know what I mean. Pizza & hot dogs are to salty. Right now I'm just sticking to oatmeal, Protein drinks, fish & sometimes a little steak (&that's a small piece) I can tolerate salads & chicken the only thing about that is that I can't eat my own food... someone else has to cook it for me to eat it.
  17. I'm nervous. Can anyone help me? Need suggestions.... [emoji22] Me, I decided a month ago. My insurance gv me 3 mnths b4 my sx. Uuugh! I hv changed my eating habits for the better. I just can't seem to get my cravings to stop in the middle of the night. What I hv done, is drink a 8oz smoothie to soothe my hunger pains.... Is that good? I can't seem to eat 6 small meal in 1 day. Forget the snacks. I can only stomach 2, maybe 3 meals & 2 small smoothies (ingredients I got from another app "LOSE IT") which includes cottage 2Tblsps cottage cheese, vanilla whey protein powder & 1/2 banana. That seems to b my go to snack. Most my meals r on a child's plate. Meat, beans & brown rice... If not that, just a bowl of soup. I do get almost of my H2O in my system. But I'm still hungry by 230a! Even if I finish my dinner by 8pm. [emoji22] I'm not an early riser (about 930) so I try to do by my meals btwn 10a & 8pm. Water is the last I do b4 bed @10pm HELP! I REALLY NEED HELP!     Anyone for Jan/ Feb 2021

    sadly to say,I'm doing the same thing. Eating cakes, Mac & cheese, ham French toast and after the new year back to my diet. In scheduled for Jan 28 & starting my pre open diet on the18th. But being I started chewing &eating small portions is hard to eat as much, plus drinking... I still hv to wait 30 mins. I think my stomach shrunk already. & yessss.... It sure taste really good!! I hv 3 dislocated discs, 1on my right side & 2 on my left. Dr's think losing the weight will give me more energy TO move. I'm hoping so. Do what u can. Listen to ur body

    Anyone for Jan/ Feb 2021

    Congrats! I am scheduled for Jan 28. I hv chronic lower back pain (3 dislocated discs) & had bi-lateral knee replacements 5yrs ago & a revision on the left knee 2yrs ago. most of my weight is in my stomach, so I'm hoping this will elevate some of my pain away(mainly in my back). I do want to walk & dance again w/o the pain. I hv already started the diet &lost 6lbs so I'm excited for the New yr! My birthday is in Feb so I'm looking for a Newer me very soon
