  3. My dr. said your pouch only holds 2oz:sad: So I called my Dietician and she said I can go up to 3oz Per meal and to take in 60-80 grams of Protein a day. Can I tell you happy that makes me!!! And she said to have something inbetween meals if I'm really hungry and try to make it high in protein. So i figured if I pick up some of the protein powder you talked about.
  4. Wow I'm not anywhere near that many calories and no where need that much protein:huh2: I only took in 45 calories for Breakfast !!! I called My ditician becuase I have no idea how to balance veggies and fruit and Dairy alll on 2 oz a meal with no snacks inbetween. Last night on the treadmill I stayed on till I 375 calories. that was probably what I ate for the day!!!
  5. Does anyone know how many calories we should be taking in on a daily basis or how much protein? I'm going to start cataloging everything on Sunday. I do have a call into my dietician but i was just wondering if anyone knew. Thanxs:wink2:
  6. Hi Cl I lost my weight quickly after surgery but has slowed down very quick once I started reall food. I'm happy with knowing clothes are fitting much looser. I'm excited to get back to the gym and tone. I do also have to tell myself that it's better for our new bodies if we loose it slowly . My doc said a 1lb a week.

  11. Good Morning Firedoll, If you are questioning if your eating to much I would ask the Dr's office how much am I supposed to eat and how often. When I left the Hospital I received a packet with directions for each stage. At the Mushies & Now Regular Food Stage I have been instructed that my Pouch will only hold 2oz of Solid or Fluid at a time. So that is all I'm allowed to eat at a sitting 2OZ. I have a HUGH problem with self control and if it's there I'm going to eat it. I have to eat my meals while doing something else I can't sit at a table and take a bite..put the fork down... take a bite.. put the fork down.... I don't have the patients. So in order to get around this and give my head time to catch up with my tummy I clean up my meal while eating... take bite, wash a dish, take a bite, clean the stove.... that works for ME. It spaces things out....yes unforunatly your food does go cold:sneaky:but if it doesn't get a little chilli you may be eating to fast. Restriction is tough for everyone...I'm only allowed 2oz of eggs this am so I st down at the computer and started typing took me 15 min to eat... Find something to do this week inbetween bites and see if it's TIME is the trick. If after putting time inbetween bites doesn't work I have read a few posts that people have discoverd 3 Meals a day doesn't work for them they have to have 6 small meals a day. This may work for you... My Dr. has prescribed 3 Meals with a 2oz Protein Shake inbetween meals to help with hunger between meals. My shakes are only 110 Calories for 11oz !!! 0 sugar 17gms of Protein only 4gm carbs. so it gives my belly a little something before meals. I stalk the heck out of my nutritionist because I had a mental break down and I was like this is so F'n confusing I can't remember everything. :angry_smile: BIG HUGS

    Trish I'm so jealous I would 4oz my Dr. says 2oz only!! I finally got cleared for solid foods!!! I'm so excited I just have to remember to chew chew chew. I also get to go the gym so I'm excited to burn the calories I've been putting in my mouth. Hope everyone is doing well!!!
  14. Slimming- PB'ing it ALL sounds painful so thanks Jamie cause you just scared the crap out of me ..lol..:cool2: How's every one doing... I must confess that I cheated on my Diet yesterday and had a small brownie!! I have been DIEING for something sweet and Jello or a popsical wasn;t going to touch it. I went to the Dr's and I'm down another 3lbs I wanted to 5lbs so i'm kickin my keester for goin off diet!! I figured if I didn't eat it the whole pan would be fair game. :wink_smile: The good news is I'm on my way to solids Dr. gave me the thumbs up no more mushies:thumbup:

    Thanks yes chewing good is really improtant...lol.. i tend to at while I clean up dinner dishes it helps me put the fork down inbetween meals.:thumbup:
  16. Well ladies I must confesss I had a rasberry stohli cosmopolitan and it made feel really yucky to much to soon next time I think i will stick to wine of something light like a twisted tea.

    Hi everyone I was banded on the 18th as well I'm on soft foods. I have no problem chewing so there is no need for my to chopp my food. I tend to eat alot of chicken and Shrimp. it's hard to remeber how much Protein I'm getting in so starting tomorrow I'm going to start recording in in a food Diary. The one thing I struggle with is getting in all my fluids for the day. My dr. says nothign 30 min before or after a meal. By then I have already forgotten.:girl_hug: so now I walk around with a timer to remind me.:thumbup: My goal is to be at 235 lbs by New Years. I know in order to continue down I need to stay on track and avoid the foods and the people that can take me down. Good Luck to all !!!
  18. Kirsty that stinks if you have no restriction now. I have no liquid in my band and I have some restriction at a 2-3 oz. I haven't had any problems with certain foods. I can say I chew till my jam gets sore....lol...the one thing I crave is meat and I stepped out of the guidelines and had a few bites of a medium rare burger...:thumbup: that was all I neede fro the craving to disapper. I have read on some of the threads that if you can't wait and are on the boarder of cheating some Dr's may get you in sooner. Keep us posted on your progress.
  19. Ladies I agree Smaller swim suit is going to be wonderful and the abilty to wear shorts is what I'm looking forward. I spent my whole summer is Capri's!!! Only swimming at my girlfriends house and sitting under the umbrella at the beach waiting for no one around to get in the water. :tongue2: NOT ANYMORE though!! We will be new and Improved.
  20. Mommy is the meat to dry? sometimes if it's to dry it's going to get stuck. My Dietician said if you find yourself PBing try lunchmeat it's then tends to be moist that will get your protein in. If that doesn't work you may have to go to softer foods eggs, Yougart etc. Be honest with your Dr. and let them know what's going on or speak with the dietician.   21. 12 lbs is great my Dr. siad do not expect that kind of weight loss he states 1 -2 lbs a week is perfect and that is what to expect. I guess he's right it just seems like it packed on overnight ..lol... My Girlfriend and I went into the grocery store and she need potatoes I picked a 5lb bag and I was like wow.... I've lost 5 of those bags so far.

    All these responses are FANTASTIC :whatchutalkingabout I can't stop laughing at the responses. I agree with many the weight loss as reved up my sex drive!!! My husband is like what in the heck is going on with you !!! I just tell him to layback and enjoy the ride :wub:
  25. Morning Everyone... Firedoll I have the exact opposite !!! My husband a family members haven't said much of anything but some close friends say I look great.. My husband is horrible at compliments so I'm getting used to it. My mother ( Joan Crawford- Mommie Dearest) hasn't said anything really but she said lets go shopping and get some better clothes I'm tired of looking at you with those baggy clothes!! :thumbup: I guess that was her way of saying " Good Job". SNACK DISCOVERY: Went to Grocery store looking fro soemthing sweet to calm my cravings. I found Carmel Vanilla Pudding by Jello... 60 Cal.. 1gm Fat... SF. OMG:drool: AWESOME if you love carmel !!! Diffrence in Dr's is amazing!! sfwaitinginma you had 4 oz of Salmon!!! I sooooo jealous:eek: my dr. said no more than 2 oz total .. protein and veggie combined. There are days when I'm ok with that and then there are days when 4 oz would be really comforting.
