I went through this before I got banded:mellow: I met with My dietician with my food journal I log in it on my-caloriecounter.com It detailed protin carbs everything includin what I did for exercise. She looked at it and I wasn't eating enough calories and not enough protein. I also wasn't eating after I worked out and wasn't drinking enogh water. Do you have access to a dietician?

  5. I find shea butter helps the skin alot! Bath & body works is awesome and I love the Body Shop.. if you have dry skin especially !!! They have a product line called African Spa and it has tons of shea, olive oil, cocco butter.. stuff is incredable

    How long before back to work??

    I took a full three weeks and was completly charged!! I have a standard transmission and the Dr. sewed my port to a strong ab muscle( He said) and I had a terrible pulling sensation on my right side everytime I sat it was awfull. I asked him did you stitch this to my rib cage:laugh:. he said it was my muscles on my right side compensating for the port and it should go away in a week. He was right i was good to by the three week mark. Ps I'm a trainer so alot of my day is up and down at my desk.. wear comfortable clothing till you are completley heald so you don't have naythign bothering your port or stitches.

    Sounds awesome .. yesterday I was starving nothing much to eat near by daughters college went through mcdonalds order a cheeseburger 99 cents pulled of the bun and had lunch!!! Love the new tummy. It was just enough till i could get home later and eat some veggies and good Protein.

    SO many new things to report....wow

    I was banded in November and eating out is a challenge for me. Everyone is drinking and eating at the same time. Everyoen is ordering appetizers and eating:cursing: It's so hard to watch. So my Husband orders an appetizer and I sip a glass of Wine maybe have a tiny bite. I know in my head an appetize is your dinner. I try to order of the children's menu whenever possible makes portion size easier to control or I ask for a to go contatiner and a small plate the second my plate hits the table I put my food in a to go container and put my portions on a small plate... still dealing with big plate needs big food syndrome.
  9. I know you mentioned you were self -pay. My friend was self pay ecause insurance wouldn't cover the ban procedure but her dr. had her go to ER and dis xray and tests and insurance covered that just not fills and surgery. Good luck and yes I agree with you a piece of mind is priceless.

  11. Jacqui & Brad thank you so much for the advice I'm going to the gym and work my keester off !! I love the site for things like this... The hardest thing was trying to cut through all the BS and get to the meat and potatoes of everything. I will head out and find the heart monitor device you spoke about. I would really like to learn how much I burn in calories for the day. I almost body that darn bodybug from the biggest looser but the 299.00 price tag made me think twice. Again everyone thanks for the advice I'm so pumped and ready to achieve my goals. (( Big Hugs))

  13. Awesome thank so much you have no ide how much better this makes me feel. Most of the trainers don;t look much over the age of 25 and the older ones just want to work with the hotties.:wink:
  14. I get TIGHT and it appears my fills are done at the same time I have my "friend" so I'm extra tight right now. The choclate cravings are CRAZY but I truck through with a choc. ship protein bar... figured might as well get a little chocalte with soem protein..:wink:

    It's stuck and making me sick

    4oz of prune juice daily, 3oz of Protein 3x a day and 1 cup of fresh spinich an Broccolli or greenbeans a day. I exercise 6 days a week:huh2: I was never regular in the beggining and it just seems to be getting worse.
  16. Gotcha thanks everyone.. The trainer at the gym the other day came over to me and said hey you've been on there for 35 minutes..do you know that it's not good to do this or the eliptical because your cutting into your muscle!! Thanks

I Like my restriction bu I have a hard time getting in the 60-80 grams of protein I need. so I start my day off with an EAS Advantage Carb Control premade Shake..they are only 110 cal..17gms of protein 1gm fat, 1gm sugar and 2gm of carbs and they are AWESOME.. not chalky at all like some of that crap... I don't have time to blend shakes and smoothies wish I did but what can you do. I'm also unable to eat more than 3 oz at a time. If I'm hungry and need something in my tummy and I need protein I carry the Atkins advantage bars they have about 17gms of protein I usually can only eat 1/2 bar. They are however 150 -200 cal a bar 1gm of sugar but are about 5-8 gms of fat but do have 6 gms of Dietary fiber. Just food for thought.

    I'm official!

    Y welcome and congrats on your new journey... I was only on liquids for the hospital I came home on Pureed. Jello and Yougart, Ice pops etc. wish I could be more help.
  19. How do you burn 400 -600 calories I'm realling starting to get into the gym and I'm lifting in the am and cardio at night but I'm not close too 400 or 600.
  20. LOL That would be me:laugh: I think that is why I'm afraid to run on the treadmill at the gym!!

  23. Keep up the good work Cardio is great I hate it in the beggining but feel good in the end!! Awesome job at spin class:lol: you are brave.. i couldn't dare!!!One day though!!
  24. Awesome Job Ginny !!! I got my fil the other day and I have great restriction ... but .... it that TOM and I always have great restriction during this time. As Hockeyson said we are all in this one pound at a time.:sneaky:
