I'm so glad! I was getting so discouraged..

Follow your post-ops guidelines, drink your fluids, be patient, exercise but don't overdo it to chase a loss on the scale.
You much have seen a few non scale successes by now, remember to Celebrate those.
Yes I certainly have saw other success and I guess I should look at them differently.. My clothes are loose, I just feel lighter, but I guess it's a discouragement when that doesn't reflect on the scale.. But I will push through it, I will not regress, just hoping this stall breaks soon!

This stall is starting to get really discouraging.. I'm hitting my Protein goal about 85% of the time, I've even started some more strenuous cardio because I thought maybe changing things up would move the needle, and nothing.. this is starting to weigh on me..like I've gone through all this pain, change, completely new lifestyle and I'm stuck....

I'm so glad to hear that its normal! I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy!

just stick to your program and stay off the scale if you have to. It typically lasts 1-3 weeks. You'll hit a few more of these along the way, but like with you, the first one usually hits within the first month or so after surgery.
It makes me feel so much better knowing others have experienced the same thing!! Thank you all!

I had surgery on Oct 26th, I will be 4 weeks post op on Monday. I have been losing very well, my weight on surgery day was 292.4 and I'm down to 269.7. But all this week, not even an ounce has been lost... is this normal? Its very frustrating..

My first time vomiting was last night.. I am 3 weeks out, and tried something to soon, needless to say the one bite turned into a vomiting episode that was not pleasant. Otherwise I haven't had any other episodes since day after surgery.

Thank you!!

Depending on your stage there’s many options. On days where I have a hard time tolerating solid food I’ve found I can eat Quest protein chips (the tortilla style ones). 21g protein per bag (they’re small bags similar to the bags of chips you buy for like $1.50)
I haven't read anything good about them either, I just started purees so it's been alot easier to get much closer to my protein goals than during liquids!

Has anyone ever tried a Protein pill supplement? I know there are some out there, but didnt know about how they are for bariatric patients...

I am following this!! Same for me I start purees on Monday and am anxious to get to eat something different, BUT not a huge fan of the consistency!😐😐😐

I am 9 days post op and yes I have been FREEZING ever since! I used an electric blanket in the hospital, and have had to use one since I've been home! I was a little cold natured even prior to surgery even though I am heavier, and now it's even worse! But I'd rather cuddle up anyday and lose this weight!!💪💪

So! Today I got the Bariatric hot chocolate in and OMG I love it!! It has Protein in it and I'm not getting near the protein that I am needing because if lactose intolerance and issues with the Protein Shakes. So I'm one happy chick today!! So glad to get something to get my protein intake up! Also got some of the protein soups! Excited to try one of those for lunch later!!

I started getting frustrated, weighing multiple times a day and I got sick of it, lol! Last time I looked on 10/30 I was 203lbs (down 40 lbs from starting weight and 10 from surgery on 10/19).
Yes I am bad for hopping on the scale OFTEN. And even though yes we are losing, it's hard to not get disappointed. I just had my first post-OP appointment today and had my drain taken out, I was surprised to see today that I am down 18 pounds since my surgery on Oct 26th.

I am in the last week of my full liquid diet and I have to say I'm struggling with it.. I am lactose intolerant so anything milk based is out of the question, so pretty much I've done sugar free Jello, popsicles, pudding and broth... ugh going to try and struggle through the rest of this week to get into the pureed stage..

Sent from my SM-G781U using BariatricPal mobile app
Yes! I take a couple different brands I had some stock of a few different ones because I was afraid of toleration after surgery.
So I take Barimelt: Iron and Vitamin C, and Biotin these are fast melting.
I take Bariatric Fusion: Multivitamin and Calcium. The Multivitamin is a capsule and the calcium is a soft chew not a Gummy. 😊

So I had surgery on Oct 26th, have been doing really well post OP so far, but I have really strange pains that feel like the center of my shoulder blades when I eat/drink sometimes? Not one specific food or drink that does it, and I cant imagine its restriction because it often comes on the first bite. Also I am taking like super tiny bites of whatever I'm eating, Jello, broth etc.. I also take very small drinks.. It usually passes pretty quickly, bit it's pretty painful..

Congrats! I had my surgery on October 26th and have lost 5.7KG so far! Good luck!!

The same thing is happening to me. I had surgery on Monday October 26th. I am 6 days post op, and I am lactose intolerant prior to surgery, so I'm having an extremely difficult time getting any Protein in since I'm on full liquid diet. I see my surgeon on Tuesday, election day so hoping to get some more insight to when I can move to pureed foods.

I had sleeve on Monday, had already had my period for the month about 10 days prior. Three days post op, and I had another period that was honestly pretty rough and has continued, and I'm now 6 days post op..

I had the horrible gas pains and for the first 2 days post OP I was EXTREMELY nauseous and vomited pretty much all the time.. It was miserable! BUT! I have been on full liquid diet for 2 days, it's going good, but I do have a really hard time with Protein Shakes. I was lactose intolerant prior to surgery, so it's been near impossible to drink them and I've tried several. So right now I'm just trying to stay hydrated and eat what I can, and struggle through until I can start eating protein! So I have lost 5.7KG since Monday!

Just had mine on Oct 26th!! 5 days post-op, I have been doing well on liquids, but I am lactose intolerant prior to surgery so shakes are next to impossible.. I've tried to force it and end up nauseated or a quick trip to the restroom.. I have ordered some Protein Soups and Gelatin from this website that will be here next week, hopefully can just suffer through until then!

Yes same.. I had been stalled for 8 days then lost 2.4 pounds over night and now have been at the exact same weight to the ounce as the day before for 2 days. It's a struggle..
