I settled around 135-140. I get obscenely tired if I eat bad food, too much, or too fast - like so tired I literally feel like I will die if I don’t lie down!!! I feel like it is my version of “dumping”. I avoid high fat and sugary foods on work days to keep this from happening at work. When I eat too many carbs over a few days I get very lethargic. If something isn’t going to agree with me I start burping and get the hiccups within about 5 mins. I cannot eat ice cream 😭😭😭 It is the only sweet food so far that I cannot touch without feeling like death! Not even a bite or two. Also, I need to have a drink with electrolytes twice a day. I have noticed a huge difference in my mood and energy level when I don’t have them. I drink 60-90oz a day.

I didn’t end up with much loose skin, but my boobs hang super low haha 😂 . I also have “four butt” (like four boob, but on my butt). Any underwear I put on has part of my cheeks inside and then the rest of it hanging below the panty line. Four butt cheeks 🤣.

A guy in my support group developed bad dumping syndrome between 2 and 2.5 years out. He said he could only eat 12 grams of sugar in one sitting or else he would dump. You may want to check how much you’re having - you may still be able to eat some sugar if you count it out.

Hahaha my my ass and boons are not a glimpse of what they use to be!!!!

I didn’t end up with to much loose skin either.

I do work out too try to a minimum of 3 days week.

  2. Hi everyone just checking in since all of us have or are near our 2 year anniversary date.

    Started at 220
I stopped loosing weight current weight fluctuates 146-140

My eating habits have been pretty much the same eating every 2-3 hrs and my drinking of fluids is about 40-50 oz some days more some days not even close but try to stay on track with that as I noticed when I don’t drink enough fluids I eat more junk.

Started to develop dumping síndrome or what ever it might be but mid morning I have to rush to Amy bathroom afraid of an accident :(

    How’s everyone else????

I have been stalled for a couple of months but have kind of fallen off the wagon as far as food choices and know what I need to do. Up my Protein and lower my carbs. I do track my food, maintain minimum of 64 ozs of Water and continue to at minimum walk 30 minutes daily. My weight goes up and down 3 lbs from 150 to 153 and my goal is 145. I think my excess skin probably weighs a few lbs. I am one of those that can eat anything and not dump. :( I don't feel much restriction and am jealous of those that do. I had more when I had the sleeve and so I have to be very, very careful. I am happy that I had the revision as it did successfully get rid of the GERD and heartburn. I did lose and am maintaining a lower weight than I had on the sleeve. With the sleeve I stalled and maintained around 170 whereas with the Roux en x bypass I am maintaining around 150 so I am grateful there. I keep thinking, I should go back to the liver diet and try and lose those last pounds that way? That maybe that would kick start my system?

Glad to hear your maintaining at 150. I’ve had a few rough weeks. Someone passing at work and my cousin unexpected dying as well and her death ruled a homicide. So my emotional eating has been EVERYWHERE. I don’t eat things I’m not suppose to I’m just not eating enough of anything. There were days I went without drinking Water. Got myself dehydrated ended in the er with palpitations…this week I’m determined to get back on the bandwagon!!!!!

Sounds very similar to me. I started at 233 now at 189. I stall for weeks and wooosh, 5 lbs comes off. I have gotten a little too lazy with tracking my calories and Water intake. Working on getting back on track. I have been getting a little more active but its time to start kicking it up a notch. My Hair loss seems to have stopped. Going to keep the short hair cut even if the thickness comes back. I have my checkup with the surgeon tomorrow.

Glad to hear you are doing well.

    Congrats!!!

  6. Checking in to see how everyone else is doing....as for me...day of surgery I was at 222 and current weight 169. I feel great I’ve come such a long way. Now is when I’m excited! My weight continues to come Off kind of funky like it will stall for 2-3 wks even gain and then bang I loose somewhere around 4lbs I’m Ok with that. I’ve been getting nauseous in the morning so I’ve had to change up my routine a little trying to help that situation out. I continue to exercise Monday-Friday and stay active like riding bikes and walking on the weekend. My exercise is still very light as I’m still not eating consistently above 700 calories. I’ve had to incorporate a little more simple carbs into my diet seems I was just not getting enough and blood sugar dropped a couple of times in the past month. My hair lost seems to be on and off. My goal weight is 145lbs I’m so excited that it’s near! I’m struggling with Water intake I can get a good 20oz in me but after mid day I seem to forget to drink! So what’s going on with everyone else?????? Eager to hear how your all doing :)

Weight loss check in. Surgery 10/14. Starting weight 222 current 182. I feel like it is really slow moving.
How many calories is everyone taking in? I am at about 700. How are you all coming along?

Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app

We are almost identical!!! Surgery 10/15 weight in 222 current weight 179.6. I swear I’m loosing inches more than weight! Eating around 700 calories. Feeling great. Only thing I can’t seem to keep down is my Multivitamin. So I’m back on the flint stones. My Hair loss is scaring me! I’ve been pretty active try to do full body workouts 3 times a week and cardio 2 times a week. I feel like my energy levels are really good good right now. Still wake up nauseous pretty much everyday. Started introducing alcohol I thought it would effect me more. Can drink about a beer and a half and it doesn’t do anything to me. The other day we went out to dinner came home and then decided to walk to a pub by the house and had a whole mojito that made me a little dizzy. Dropped from size 16 to a 12 YAY!!!!  Noticed I’m not drinking as much Water need to make sure I stay on top of that.  Low sugar levels!!! It’s happed twice already where my sugar level dropped that does not feel nice, but I know why it was because I skipped breakfast.  So just need to make sure I eat even if it’s a Protein Bar.

I do worry that I'm eating too many calories. My dietitian has said that I can go up to 1200 calories but I wonder if the higher calorie intake is what's stalled my weight loss? Re the calories, as well as adding Protein, I also got a bit concerned about the lack of fibre and Omega 3 oil foods etc in my diet (I can't tolerate fresh tuna or sardines and most whole veg). So I added in 15g per day of a cold milled seed mix (flax, sunflower & pumpkin) at 84 calories (I put it on bran flakes at breakfast), plus 6g of chopped nuts: 42 calories (hazelnuts & pecans) and 15g dried apricots (30 calories). With the calories for 25g bran flakes and the milk on it, it bumped up my calories a lot. I'm going to see how it goes, but if my stall doesn't break I'll probably pull back on my calorie intake.

I'm finding the balancing of everything really hard.

Since I can’t seem to take in to much to 1,200 seems like something in the far far future but that’s where you really want to be get the your nutrition & Vitamin. I started to tolerate nuts too I’m going to incorporate that in my Breakfast that will help me.

Hi 🙋‍♀️, I've been stalling as well since the beginning of January. I've taken the same 1lb off then put it back on again I don't know how many times! I've noticed more Hair loss so am making a real effort to eat more Protein, as my dietitian says it's the lack of Protein that causes this (unfortunately she says it's the lack of protein 3 months before so the extra protein won't work for a bit). My calories are higher than yours - about 1100 per day. They've crept up with the protein I'm adding in. I still can't eat much "real food" at a time so eating little and often and still having 1 high Protein Shake a day. I still can't tolerate most meat - it just sticks. The dietitian says this might get better, but then again it might not....I'm doing fast walking most days for about 45 minutes and then upper body weights 3 times a week. I just want to get the weight loss going again - don't know how to do this.

I wish I could eat that much my weight in the day of surgery was 222 I stand at 5”3’. I can’t seem to eat enough. I might call my dr because I need to find other ways to add more protein. I’ve even started eating more seafood like stone crabs, mussels also beef liver all things high in protein. I can eat everything even meat. There’s two things I haven’t tried because I’m a little discussed by it tuna and salmon.

Oh my gosh! I am in the exact same boat as you. I have been in and out of a stall all month. I have only had 4 days of losses and have gained on quite a few days. Evens out to be a stall. My hair is bonkers!!! I am losing massive amounts and you can see my scalp in the front and sides. I bought Nioxin Shampoo, added collagen and Biotin. It is a big confidence killer. I feel super hormonal - had a bad period reminiscent of my teenage years early in the month and even got an acne cyst on my chin, which hasn’t happened in 6 years. My clothing size has gone down by one this month though, and people are really starting to notice my weight loss, so trying to stay positive!

Must add that Shampoo, college. And Biotin hopefully it will help! I guess we are getting to where we start to stall. I’ve also forgot to mention I’ve been wine to my diet about 1 glass Thursday Friday and Saturday. I get a rose or white wine and fill it with Water it last all night when dining out with friends.

  11. How’s everyone doing? My weight is been pretty much the same since December going up and down super weird. I was at 189 for like 3 weeks then started dropping down to 185 went back up to 188 and today I was at 185.6 don’t know what to do with it. Pretty much it’s been like this for 2 whole months. My Water I sake I would say it’s around 50-64oz and food I can’t seem to eat more than 4-5oz at once that includes veggies and Protein. Calories between 600-700 this is having 2 Protein Shake. I’m exercising with no weight lifting just resistance I wonder if this is why? Also my hair started falling :(((

Anyone experience severe dumping syndrome? I’ve been really sick...like I can’t keep anything down. I’ve had Water diarrhea so bad that I had to get fluids 3 out of 5 days. I’ve been nauseous and have thrown up a few times but the severe diarrhea has been going on for 12 days now. The doctor is running lots of tests for parasites and infections but mentioned today that he thinks it is dumping syndrome. My surgery was Oct 12 and I was doing completely fine. In fact, I was planning to go back to the gym but started feeling bad. I’m just worried that my Gastro Dr will just blame my sickness on my surgery and dumping syndrome. Anyone had experience with this?

Sorry that you are having to go through all that sounds awful but wow talk about information..Lilfootie knows a lot!

About me: I was very depressed I felt I had done the surgery all for nothing! I was on a a 3 week stall. I thought I was going everything I needed to do but the more I read online I came to the conclusion I was just not eating and exercising right. I upped my carbs and fat just a bit and started resistance training. And just like that I’ve dropped 2lbs. Started this journey at 230 currently at 201.2. I’m so happy!!!

  17. I am exactly here...

    Surgery date 10/15
Dropped to 204 then this Monday I went up to 205 then Tuesday 207 today back to 205.

first time I hear of starvation mode! Makes sense I’m having a hard time making it to 500 calories. I can watch chicken, tuna, ground turkey. But all of I want to eat it with something not by itself. I have been having either a cracker or mashed potatoes/sweet potatoes, grilled pepper. So I notice my carbs are a little hire than I would like.

What do you do to accompany your Protein? Or do you have it by itself?

  18. So I’m having a real hard time getting the calories in! I feel like if I leave the house I’m all over the place and all I do is drink Protein Shake. I started having low blood sugar :( not fun at all!!! @Sabanfan thank you for sharing your daily routine would love to get others daily food intake as well who are already 4 weeks out. Here’s mine.
    6am Protein shake
    Water
    10am outmeal with milk
    Water
    1pm 1-2 oz of chicken
    Water
    4pm protein shake
    Water
7pm ground beef 1-2 oz with a little piece of cooked carrot
    Water
9pm I’ll try another shake but most nights I can’t finish it
I’m also having a problem with how slow I have to eat. I’ve thrown up because I eat to fast. This has been happening quite often!!! I just hate to eat cold food.
