I am so excited by this time next week i should be a day out of surgery.. i talked to my dr today i wasnt placed on a strict day .. basically liquid diet 2 dys prior to surgery, 3 day clear protein liquid post surgery, then continue on liquid (don't have to be clear) for 2 weeks...have you looked into what kind of clear liquid protein... i was convinced on gettimg premiere clear liquid but i have also been advised on isopure... any suggestions

I am sorry you experienced that sounds hurtful... I would really consider droppin these friends just like you've been dropping these pounds... what was this person's goal by telling you this.. i cant see anything other than to hurt you... these actions make this relationship questionable...u were strong enough to go through with this process..use that same strength to create you boundaries and let people know that their comments are unwanted and unacceptable

I doubt it i just got a call today from the surgery dept. They said everything was clear and good to go ... it wierd though they wont tell me the time until the day before 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have 2 appointments this week by phone...one with the surgeon again on Wednesday and one with the nurse friday... when he called me this past Friday it was short i think he was just working on scheduling.... just asked me if i was ready to go we talked about work time off ...i also never did the psychological assessment

Im sure itll be soon at least now you know they have resumed ... 🤞

After months of waiting because surgeries were on standby due to covid. My surgeon called yesterday and told me if i was ready to go on March 2nd... so 10 days from today.. I am so excited!

The surgeon just called said March 2nd is the day!

Mine didnt say anything about a liquid diet either... to be honest this is the only place ive seen anything about liquid diets my brother and a couple of friends have had the surgery and none were placed on liquid diets... i just hope there was more clarity...everything is so unclear

When i had my surgeon apt he told me they weren't going in order... he said that alot of people waiting since December gained weight and they were going to have to lose weight before moving forward.. he said people that are "ready and have been keeping up" were going to get scheduled first... whatever that means... i dont know how i feel about it .. im on a weight roller-coaster

Any updates for you guys? I had my surgeon apt on Friday... was very brief about 10 minutes really didnt say much just asked which surgery i was interested in ... I expected more

I am 33 years old, children are not in my immediate future (I know im pushing it but hey its 2021) maybe 35/36. How long did you wait after wls to get pregnant? Were there complications related to the surgery? THANKS!

I was told that it would be outpatient during the classes. I guess since Covid impacted the hospitals they have been outpatient.

Have you guys heard anything about when they will resume surgeries at Kaiser... I had an appointment Friday and the nurse made it sound like it wasnt going to be anytime soon...that whole apt was bizarre i met with a doctor from the bariatric program but it wasn't the surgeon ... he referred me to the surgeon... my apt with the surgeon is next week... i still haven't heard anything about a psych test.

Yea we were weighed 3 times i started at 203 then 192 and final weight was 182 after the holidays i think im probably up to 190 again which is lot for me im only 5'1... I hope everything goes well ... Have you heard of someone getting regected i really hope that doesn't happen.... i havent heard anything about a psych apt... do you know what other steps are left ?

Yea I did the ekg when I initially went for labs and that was fine ... i did have to retake the labs because my vitamin D was low at 27 i guess they need it at 30 they gave me some pills and told me to take over the counter vitamins for 5 weeks my 5 weeks is due the 25th... my BMI is at 33 so i dont think i am that high risk either... i am kinda glad i have to wait a little i really dont want to be going to the hospital right now or post surgery if need be with the covid surge... i would actually like to get vaccinated before crossing my fingers

You only have to redo the labs if something was wrong the first time... i havent been notified of psych apt either

I think we are pretty much on the same boat my apt with the surgeon is also in the 14... my 6 week lab retake however would be the 25th... lets me know how everything goes... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I finished options on Monday but my vitamin d was low so im on meds and have to redo labs January 25th... im not stressing over the delay im just going with the flow im not trying to be in the hospital during these scary times either...

have they mentioned anything aboutvyoir surgery being postponed due to covid cases increasing and restrictions on elective surgeries?
