    February 2021 bypassers?

Hi, love Chris farley. I'm 2 weeks post op. Protein drinks are not forever. There will be food later. Right now you have to eat correctly to train yourself so your ready after surgery. It's not easy but neither is being heavy. You have to chose. Will it be my life and health? Or will it be all about food ? If your going through the surgery and think your eating habits won't change, you'll be back where you started.
  4. Hi all, I'm scheduled for sleeve on 11/18. I'm 5'6" and now 213lbs before my pre op diet in the next 2 weeks. I was 231 starting in May. If I loose 10 lbs on pre op liquid diet I'll be 203. I figure 50 more lbs may be doable on my own. Is this just nerves or is it not enuf lbs to have surgery! Help
  5. I did it! 2/3 and am 9 days post op. The worst of it was pulling my back out, hoisting my body up in hospital bed. I hardly feel like I've had surgery now. I'm glad I did it and thank you for all your support.

    February 2021 bypassers?

I had my gsv 2/3/21. My advise for post op, sit in the chair, not the bed. It will save your back.
  7. Thanks to you all! What a great help to my piece of mind. I'm going Wed 2/3. I'm at peace finally.
  8. Ask them to prescribe the ppi and if it goes away, you have your answer. OTC type too.

    Nov 2020 Bypass Peeps?

Thank you so much. That really did help. My BMI is 34 and I qualify due to hypertension, sleep apnea and high cholesterol. Believe it or not it was the sleep apnea that qualified me the most. I did loose 20 lbs since May, but it is creeping back pound by 4 pounds. Thanks for the good advise.

    Nov 2020 Bypass Peeps?

Hi November peeps, I was a Nov person too and postponed it to Feb. I feel that if I can gain the weight back, what's the point? I hear it over and over again and it really concerns me. That and feeling sick. Am I wrong? I need some people's feelings about this.

    November 2020 sleevers

Hey, me too! Kept thinking maybe if I really try? Truth is, we did and here we are. We're going to live longer and happier at a lighter weight. I'm going to trust my gut and go. I don't want the +2 lbs, -1.5,+1, -4, +5lbs etc anymore! Hope this helps. And best of skilled surgeon to you.
  22. Thank you so much. I needed that!

  24. Hi! I have 1 month until my surgery (sleeve).  Has anyone had trouble with anemia after surgery? or bathroom habits? Just wondering.  I really like this forum for our concerns. Thanks

      DMWLS

Hi, I had my surgery 052219 (sleeve). No anemia, however constipation and did not have first bm until 8 days later, no call for alarm as you have no food in you as well. I had issues with dehydration because I couldn't take my vitamins only during the liquid stage (first stage), I lost 58 pounds very rapidly. As soon as I was able to progress to the 2nd stage and try some regular foods like Taco Bell beans & cheese, tuna, and cheese & eggs I got a little strength and things got better. I had no pain with the surgery, never took any pain meds. I started my journey during menopause, so the weight loss hasn't been great (my own fault) but many that had surgery from the same center have done a great job on losing over a hundred plus pounds. You got this!

Everyone has different experience, so just know that your experience will be totally different and you may not experience any of those symptoms. Best wishes luv!
