Hi all! I have not been on in awhile. I too have been a slow loser. I'm ok w/ that. I could have done better if I followed my plan better. Like someone said earlier...if I did not have my band I would have gained all of my 50 lbs back by now! I have not had a fill since about spring and I can eat anything at this point. I have gained about 5 lbs so I need a fill! This is the 1st i have gained in 2 yrs. Gotta get back on the horse!

Hi everyone,
I haven't been around in a while. Glad to see new bansters & regulars :-) I've been pretty much just maintaining my weight. Have not had a fill in MONTHS but don't feel I need one either. I'm still not overly hungry. I just need to be eating the right foods & stay away from JUNK food. I'm trying again! :-) Have a good one all!

were they supossed to remove it?!?!?!
-
Just wondering how does doc tell if there is Erosion? ty
-
I had question for you. Did you have any stomach damage after having the band for so long?
-
i'm wondering the same.
-
I feel the same way as many of you,,,,,,,,Was this REALLY worth it???
I have lost 50 lbs since sept 2008 & the last 8 was in the last few months. When you want to lose weight you are so desperate & will do almost ANYTHING. I went into this thinking there was less risk & I could have it removed some day. I now know that insurance probably won't remove unless there is a issue w/ the band. Then if you do have it removed there will probably me permenant stomach damage. SCARY!!!!

Thinking~You said you were afraid to get a fill. Why? because you haven't lost weight in awhile?

Just wanted to say hello...My name is Genise and I will be having surgery at BWH on 8/23/10 with Dr. Lautz. I'm interested in attending the support groups because I have TON of questions.Any support for a newbie is much appreciated :smile2:
Hi Genise! This is a great sight for info. Look around in the forum & ask questions. Everyone is very helpful. :-)

Hi Blue. I'm at the point where I can eat just about anything especially if I eat slow enough. I think some banders like there band tight & some don't. I believe mine is pretty lose....I like it that way. I like to eat whole wheat bread if I want to. I'm in a good place right now not too tight W/ good restriction. I have not had i fill in a while & when I do get them I get VERY small fills only if I am hungry a lot. As, Tiny said we are all different. :-)

the spot where you say you have the weird feeling is the spot that hurts when I get something STUCK. I would do liquids for a few days like you said. Maybe something is swollen & you need to just do liquid for a few. You REALLY need to talk to your surgens office about somebody seeing you a new doc. HTH. :-)

just bumping this up for you. maybe someone else can help.

I have not experienced this but I do worry about it A LOT. How long have you had your band? I'm so scared about permenent damage to my stomach now that I have been banded for almost 2 yrs.

i'm sorry to hear so many are having some tough times. I just made a breakthrough! I have finally kept my calories to under 1500 while getting all my Protein. So I'm pumped about that. Now I need to distribute it more evenly. I have my CIB in the morning and then don't have a good dose of protein again until dinner. i need to find a lunch thing not too high in calories that adds protein. Almost there!Thats great JAY!!! Goo for you! :Banane20:

I am able to eat anything I want as well but I am not hungry. Just gotta make my mind up that I will eat the RIGHT foods.
Tova~I hope you heal up totally very soon so you can get your fill!
