We sure will. I was sad that I’d miss thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, but not now. Should at least be on a small amount of solid foods by then, so maybe I’ll have a bite of mashed potatoes.

Congratulations!! I’m RNY Oct 19th, but will get sleeved if they have issues. Just started my diet this week. I’m nervous and excited too. Some days/times more nervous than excited. Just now coming to terms with my surgery being a week from this coming Monday!!

It will be all worth it in the end. Are you walking to help with the pain, and taking whatever pain meds they gave you? Good job getting your fluids down too!! It will get easier they tell us!! Believe in that.

how do y’all lower the noise in other aspects of your life and focus on your surgery ? I’m trying
I’ve just had to take time for myself. Sometimes I slink off to the bedroom, or I go for a car ride. I’ e expressed it to my family and surgeon that I’m getting nervous, and they have been supportive. It’s like sometimes I have no nervousness or anxiety about it, and then it just hits. Those are mostly the times that I like to be alone. Don’t know if that even helps, but it’s what I’ve had to do.

So is mine. Have you had the headache?

I have surgery scheduled for Oct 19th, and am starting my 2 week pre-op diet in the morning. I’m getting really nervous now. Supposed to have RNY, but will be sleeved if too many adhesions from pre ious surgeries. 🥺🥺🥺

I’m having RNYGB in Oct. saw my psychiatrist the other day, and she said that most of the ER will still work, but sometimes they have to be given twice a day. It just depends on the med and your metabolism. It will be interesting to see what happens with mine too. I’m an NP also, but have never really had to work with gastric bypass pts unfortunately.

I’m the same way. Surgery Oct 19th.
I’m the same way, surgery Oct 19th. The shakes are disgusting now, and the Protein powders are too. I got a case of the blue colored protein Water and gagged. Ugh. QI’m trying to eat some of the foods that they said we could a t this time, like cottage cheese, soft cheeses, egg beaters, tuna, chicken, etc.., but it’s so hard. Agree, you can only drink so much broth.
