Hope you're feeling better now and have found some things that your sleeve will accept. It's tough at first but gets better

17 hours ago, Tinyhounds said:I had also done my covid testing & registration at the hospital. Literally all that was left was to go back for the procedure. It was heartbreaking. No beds. I called today to find out if they might know when they might be able to start rescheduling, and they just said no, we have to take it day by day. Not holding my breath.
I had the same surgeon and i was canceled back in January it really sucks. I don't know if you are through Kaiser but you can call your bariatric case worker and see if they can get you in at another facility i know west la and a few other facilities are still doing surgeries and there are cancelations all the time. My friend who was canceled did this and got in a few weeks later. It's worth a shot. Good Luck and hope you can get something figured out.

I'm not saying I want more food, I just want something different. I had a sudden craving for Peanut Butter and I was wondering if anyone knew of any way to squash that craving? Any Protein powder/drink recommendations?
Premier Protein has the chocolate Peanut Butter shake, never tried it myself though.

I'm am so sorry you are dealing with this. While i'm only a week out from surgery i stayed in the hospital till today because my nausea and vomiting were so severe. I would think of certain foods and throw up. food aversion is terrible. My Doctor kept me because throwing up severely isn't normal. Did your doctor prescribe nausea meds? Mine work slightly and reduce my vomiting and retching by about 50% so i can stomach somethings. Also, 70lbs is a lot not sure what your starting weight was but still that's a lot of weight if you are at a lower bmi. My suggestion if you are getting any where with your doctor, go to the hospital you could have a stricture or something going on.

They did a d. Ow I'm on 2 different nausea meds with little relief, it's terrible

Still here at the hospital, no pain at all! I'm shocked honestly. The worst part for me is the nausea and throwing up. I can't keep anything down. The doctor won't let me leave without keeping stuff down

That's my biggest fear is being tired and exhausted all the time, and hoping I keep my food down don't want to be embarrassed in public EEK

7 hours ago, catwoman7 said:you're encouraged to walk as soon as you get home from the hospital (in fact, they'll have you up and walking while you're still IN the hospital). You'll also likely be cleared to drive if it's been at least 24 hours since you took your last pain pill, but I didn't feel up to it until I was about a week out (I was just too tired...). As far as exercise, I was encouraged to walk right away. Most other exercises I was cleared to do at four weeks out. Strength-training had to wait until I was eight weeks out (although the exercise question might vary among surgeons)
Thank you sounds like i should be able to try and do the class since it 's not too strenuous

Hi, I'm having RNY on 7/23 and i'm wondering how long it took everyone to feel back to normal, and be able to do everyday activities like drive, work, walk the dog, exercise. I have a class starting 2 1/2 weeks out and i'm worried it will be too much even though it's only 2hrs 1 day a week.

Does anyone else have to give themselves anti-coaggulent injections at home?

I've been wondering about the blood thinning injections i know some people have to do them for up to 30 days and others don't get them at all. I haven't been told anything about them yet and my surgery is next Friday. Good luck on your recovery
