OHIP covered the surgery. You have to find a surgeon in your area and make an appointment tell them how the band is hurting you and you need to get it removed. They will then take you in the office tell you how they will do the surgery and if your okay with it they will book an appointment. Just know you get a few more scars added to the ones you already have grown the original surgery. The moment it’s out you go back to normal... no more pain!!

I told her how I would faint if I ate something like bread or Pizza Crust. She told me about the procedure and then I booked an appointment for the removal... I didn’t need my doctor at all... and if you want the same then tell them about the experience you are having... it doesn’t cost anything it’s covered by OHIP... and the next day you can eat regularly without the horrible tension... I have been focusing on eating healthy and have managed to lose weight still.., if you have any other questions let me know

If you talk to a surgeon they will remove the band, covered by OHIP. I got my band removed on July 9,2020... mine was removed by dr sacks from penetanguishene.

Hello everyone,

I got my Slimband back in October 2011... I have had complications the whole time... I paid over $27,000 for this procedure hoping it would be the beginning of a new life... well long story short it did NOTHING!

I would like to be part of this if it becomes a lawsuit, I still have all my papers.. I am going for a removal of the band July 9, 2020...
