  1. I think you are going to need them all. Not sure about the D3 but I do take that separately as I was deficient in D
  2. I take an anti anxiety pill nd it too will add some weight to ya. You may experience some hunger for a few days but it should pass as the portion of your stomach that was removed had the hunger hormone creates hunger. I am 7 weeks post op and still have no hunger. I eat nd find myself looking in the fridge when not even truly hunger. Just an old habit. Get some SF popsicles. At 15 cals each you can eat 2, 3 4 and not fill guilty. It does not bother me with people eating around me. Once you get to the soft/ semi reg diet it gets better. You have got this...hang in there.
  3. Congrats!! Having only 4-8 lbs to lose is a good problem!
  4. I just added iron back into diet a few days ago so I don't think that is it.
  5. This is definitely in the TMI category. Look away now and don't read this for the faint of heart! My poop since surgery and delivering those twin rocks 8 days later has been almost BLACK! Not brown but black! I understand why the stool has improved and not as it once was when eating carbs. My carbs are really low right now and that results in a better stool. The color is what is killing me. Must be some red dye in the chewable vitamins maybe? So weird!
  6. Glad it is working for you. My surgeon told me it had failed in a very high % of patients. All have not had revision or removed. For me I am just glad to be rid of the dadgum thing. Congrats on your success and continued weight loss.
  7. Yes this happened to me as well. I was originally scheduled for December 2020 and it got postponed. Got the call on January 25th to reschedule for 2/23. DON"T DO LIKE I DID AND GO CRAZY EATING!! This would be a good time to get used to eating less. Good luck...it will pass by quickly.
  8. I have learned something new today!
  9. You will probably her back sooner! No reason to worry or stress...This will happen.
  10. Not pills. I normally start the day with a loaded up protein shake blended in the bullet. I may not have it until close to lunch time some days, I am never in a hurry to eat/drink first thing like I used to be. How about you?
  11. I too had a hard time getting back in the gym around the end of week 6. First workout was probably 20 minutes...that was all I had but better than nothing. I was incredibly sore after that first workout. With Covid then surgery it had been year. Back in the gym now! Makes me feel so much better!!
  12. I like capsules. The price is incredible for a year.
  13. That Band is straight from the Gates of Hell I tell ya! I so wish I had gotten that God forsaken thing taken out a long time ago. For anyone that has it and it is still working for you...Congrats! I hated that damn thing. Love the sleeve surgery!
  14. Not hard to hide. Start telling people now that you are on a diet under 1000 calories a day and not drinking any booze if you did before. Life is better after I think...you just eat less which has been easy for me. You will be able to eat smaller portions of many of the things you eat now. and have cocktail at some point. As far as children go...It is much cheaper to have a dog. ...I could have retired years ago without kids LOL!
  15. Dude, You lost 20 lbs in 9 days? That is insane! Dude! You lost 20 lbs in 9 days?? That is insane! I had my call this week with my NUT and at 7 weeks I was averaging 3.7 lbs lost a week which she said was amazing. I've had 3 stalls in 7 weeks lasting from 5 days to a week or more. Really all you can do is just keep doing what your medical team tells you and don't deviate from it. In the long run if you average 3 lbs a week then you will be at goal this year. Hang in there...This is a marathon not a sprint.
  16. Popsicle is kind like both...counts for 2 ozs of liquid each.
  17. Never thought I would be a fan of SF popsicles but those babies are tasty!
  18. Looking good BG! I am hoping that 30 calories will be OK...I have a ritual right now.
  19. Most days I eat a couple of SF popsicles...What say you?
  20. Let me also say that I may be an exception to the little or no pain scenario. I do think this journey has been easier because I had the band earlier. About the only good thing I will say about my band experience. I have around 68 lbs to go and honestly know that I have the right tool to get there. BTW I used the surgeon that did the lap band surgery initially.
  21. I too had the God forsaken band when I was 49. I had revision to sleeve at 63...on 2/23 and wish I had done it about 12 -13 years earlier. You will not regret this decision. You will be able to eat some things with less trouble with the sleeve... just smaller portions. I work from home but had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on Thursday...I could have gone back to work on Wednesday but had a 4 hour drive home. The only pain I experienced was on the day of the surgery and when I had my first BM post op (8 days later). I stayed so doped up in the hospital that I really didn't have much pain. Best decision I have made in a while. I am down 42 lbs since Jan 26th. Good luck...I am glad I did this.
