  1. Just wondering about thighs and maybe abdomen once the belly heals enough. Thanks
  2. Very Cool Dude! Glad to know this will be worth it if I stick to the plan which is the PLAN!
  3. I was scheduled to have my surgery in December and got pushed back to 2/23 because of Covid. I am jealous but proud for you!
  4. Dang I love hearing these numbers, it is inspiring! Thanks
  5. WOW! That is so awesome and encouraging. Makes this liquid diet little easier to take! Thanks
  6. WOW! That is very impressive! Congrats....when do you think you will hit your goal weight?
  7. I would love to hear from some folks about your weight loss after surgery the first 60 or 90 days after your sleeve surgery. I need inspiration. I am on this liquid diet and surgery in 6 days!
  8. Wow! Have you lost 62 pounds since 12/8/20?
  9. Thanks for the info. My blood work says my liver is spectacular which is surprising actually. I am following my surgeons advice and trust him. I have heard from alot of folks about this issue. I am good to go and ready for the challenge. I wish I had been able to do this back on 12/16 when originlly scheduled...I would already be thinner. I hope to lose 100# in 9 months. That is my personal goal and I believe is doable.
  10. I just had blood work and my doctor said my liver was outstanding!
  11. Thanks...Vodka and water or 5 cal SF cranberry. but I understand what you are saying. This is the last day or two maybe forever. Thanks again for the info.
  12. I have read so many different things about pre op diets. Mine was 7 days liquid with the last day being clear liquid. I am ok with it but seems a bit more than others have done and again less than some others. As long as you clean your belly out for the surgery . I get it and will follow my surgeons guidelines but I was just wondering why the big variances from doc to doc.
  13. I started my liquid diet today with surgery a week away. I guess I can have a cocktail tonight since it is liquid? I have 7 days to go until surgery. What say ye?
  14. Wow...You are having Gastric Sleeve surgery? You wouldn't think you should have food in your stomach. I am learning a lot on here. First I have heard of anything like this.
  15. So you are doing a liquid diet the week or so prior to surgery are you not? That was all my surgeon required and today is day 1 of my pre op liquid diet.
  16. One week from today and ready to get this show on the road!!
  17. Why is the hardest work starting now for you? Are you hungary or what are the issues? Just curious. Trying to wrap my arms around eveything I can learn. Thanks
  18. Well I am on day one of my pre op liquid diet for the second time. I was about half way thru back in December when I got the call that postponed surgery due to Covid spike. I just made a Premeir Protein shake (added ice in the bullet) with scoop of whey protein and a half tub of Triple Zero Yogart. I think this puppy has about 57 grams of protein to my estimate. 1 week from today I will be under the knife. I am ready to get this show on the road!!
  19. I know that walking is important and something I will need to do moving forward forever. I enjoy going to the gym. I went for 2 years recently pretty religously. My wife finally told me she wished I would quit going because I was only getting bigger. She was right, I was gaining muscle and not losing much fat because I hated the cardio...It was just boring to me. I wanted to pump some iron baby! I was bench pressing 225 quite a few times and some lighter sets as well which I felt pretty good about at 61-62 years old at the time. I also was pressing well over 500 pounds on the seated incline leg press. 3 sets of 25. I realize after surgery I cant just jump back in and start lifting like this again but it made me feel good...I liked it. With Covid I am in no rush to get back in the gym until I get the vaccine but I do have dumbells in our gym here at the condos and will start there when the time is right after surgery. How long after surgery before you guys got back in the gym and got after it with heavy weights? Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.
  20. Dave...My surgery is next week. I am looking forward to being a normal size again and have a good mind set about it. Lets do this!
  21. Thanks for taking the time to answer! I hope I can hear more from other members as well.
  22. So awesome to hear! I am ready to get this jouney started and have new life soon. Surgery in 8 days. Start liquid diet in the am.
  23. You may need to take something for anxiety. Your family doctor should be able to write something for you. I take something daily myself.
  24. Not to beat a dead horse here but...You were just asking about this on Saturday and Everybody here said it was a bad idea. I dont have my surgery until next week but and I am not really a sweets person but you have got to use this tool to be sucessful. I hope you get to feeling better and learn from this experience. Good luck on your journey.
