Wishful you have done so well, I envy you really. Carrie how about you doing our fills for us, we can hire a coach and stay over if need be, then you can fill us all  Be a nice little earner for you, if you charge us say £20 a fill.

Sorry Sammy babe, I wont be travelling to London, a bit too far for me I think, from Cheshire. Shame cos I would like to see you, your Mum and Harrison again. Manchester would be ideal, but I think maybe I'll have to opt for Sheffield.

All you girlies that are fed up and feel a bit let down that the weight hasnt fallen off yet, dont give up on your band You havent found your sweet spot yet, and you will believe me. You wont feel hungry, just as well cos you wont be able to get hardly anything down anyway, and this is what I am looking forward to. I say this from experience, if only I had known then what I know now. I didnt get regular fills, cos of the cost and I thought I had reached my sweet spot. I know now that the only time I felt right was after the long haul flights, like I have told you before. For the 2 weeks I was in Florida, which was the last long-haul before my band broke, all I could get down was soup, and ( I am ashamed to admit to this, but I did need something ) was peanut butter M & Ms. And when I got back I had dropped about 10lbs. I thought this is it!!!! But it wasnt, my band loosened again and I stopped losing it. I should have had a fill straight away then, but I didnt notice the signs for a while. Thought I would give you back heart girlies, cos when you find your sweet spot, it is easy to lose it, how do you think all those other people have done it. After all they didnt have the will power before, thats why they opted for the band, so the only way they lost it was because of the band. Anyone else got anything to add, or maybe the benefit of their experience, please tell us, its good to talk and discuss and to stop us feeling like failures.

You know what I'll see how I feel after my 2 fills with MVDB and if I dont have enough restriction, it may be worth me signing up with Wendy's outfit and travelling. It just has to be the not smoking cos last time I had lost a stone by now.

Hey West, those Milk Thistle you have are great, what make are they? I used to buy Holland Barrats own, but they were only 280mg and only one a day. Then I found stronger ones online from Healthy Direct but even they are only 380mg and again just one a day. I think I'd like to buy the ones you have, great content.

Great stuff WestB...what strength milk thistle did you get hun? Thanx Sammy and Wishfull, she's settling in good, but today she said to me, I'm coming home tomorrow arent I...I said no love cos you cant walk yet. She then insisted that she could, so we tried, but she cant even weight bear without help. But we'll get there in the end. Oh well Wishfull nice try anyway , was a good plan. I can eat more now than before the fill, so just hope ole Freddy hasnt cocked my tubing up. maybe its cos the swelling has gone down now. Please God!!! Good luck everyone on getting to your sweet spots asap. I wouldnt have an unfill before a flight, cos as long as you can swallow think how much weight you'll lose.

Thanx Sammy and Gillian, it is good now Mums in the nursing home. I go over every lunch time though to get her to eat and she is doing ok. Now she needs to walk, but she is weight-bearing so thats an improvment. Great news on the fills, wish they had a place nearer to me. I mailed them and they replied saying they didnt have any plans of coming to the North West, but thanx for my input...sob. Forgot to also say I take a milk thistle tablet every night and remember Michael said my liver was in excellent condition, just proves it works cos I am a bit of a boozer lol. Specially since I gave up the fags.

Hi girlies, I have been busy too. my Mum has finally been transferred to the nursing home near us, so have been round there helping her settle in. Then last night we went for a well-deserved night out with friends. Ended up going for an Indian curry, was scrummy...no I havent got any restriction at all  Roll on 9th May. Wishfull lovely to see you back...did your plan work? hello and welcome to all the newbies, we seem to be getting a lot of people here lately, and its lovely. Mmm glad your hiccups have gone sweetheart, that must have been a nightmare for you. No, what I said was...you get restriction after long-haul flights, that is...anything over 4 hours, so you should be ok going to France. Hya Gillian we missed you hun, where's your naughty Big sis?

Ahh Odge, you'll be back before you know it and all will be good. I was fairly good on the pre-op diet, only had one night when I had a few drinks. My pre-op was quite strict, was starving lol. But i got through it, just allowed myself a little treat when I couldnt stand it any longer. Try to stay away from takeaways and fried stuff, you'll be fine.

As Mmm says it is normal practise to 'pay up front', both times I wa banded at the Spire Southampton I paid a week before. And I know Dr Chris always wants cash before the op from all the other people on here. Sammy, Gillian is in touch with Wishfull, and told me she was having probs with her laptop, but like you say where are the naughty sisters, not seen them in a while either:frown:?

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f85/my-story-68213/ Thats the link to my story Odge. Garry you have done so damn well!!!! I'm jealous, but very well done, and how good are you with all that training, you deserve every ounce you have lost. When my Mum gets moved to the nursing home near us I will be walking there and back...not sure how far it is to walk, only ever driven. Anyone heard from Wishfull? Gillian??

Odge, my first band developed a hole so I lost all restriction and put back on the weight I had lost and some. And yes...I had to pay again, albeit I got a reduction its still, all in all cost me almost £10000. I didnt have my bands done in Belgium by Dr Chris, although that was my intention when I first joined this site. My other surgeon came up with a reduction for me which made it cheaper to go with the Spire, otherwise I would have been in Belgium like a shot. My story is on here somewhere, I'll search and give you the link if you'd like to read it chick?

I smoked after my first band was implanted hun, it was a life-saver, cos when I couldnt sit down to a meal I used to smoke instead. I stayed away from fizzy drinks though, cos they made my chest feel uncomfortable, not worth it. Which girl was that, the one with the specs who was home after 5 hours ? She should have been in bed she would have been far more comfortable. I couldnt believe that she was on the couch!!! She really seemed fed up before and after. She should have been over the moon. You see how the surgeon can tell if you havent done the pre-op diet??? Its so important, yet the first time I got my date so fast I didnt have time to do it. I would have this op again if i had to, thats how much confidence I have in it chick, and I've had it done twice.

Hey Mmm are you back in France yet? You just gotta take your lappy this time, so we can keep you on the straight and narrow, never mind eating all that French bread :crying: I am paying dearly for all the eggs I scoffed at easter, have put on the weight I lost when I was ill and more. Sammy thats great that you are going to London, wish they were near me, I'd be there like a shot. Never mind only 2 weeks and I'll be going again. Your Mum eating fish and chips in front of you, she is very bad lol. You poor thing. big X for baby

Forgot to say Odge, I had a drink a few days after op. I have a couple every night cos I still miss the smoking. Gonna have to stop pretty soon though, cos its not helping my weight. Flirty you must have had some restriction to lose 6 stone didnt you hun? Hasnt it gone because of all the weight you've lost? Or am I missing something here :crying: 6 stone is so marvellous so proud of you girl!!!!

to you newbies, and good luck with your ops. Great that you will meet Flirtydrawers, she's a star pupil!!!! Sammy, hi chick, it was lovely to meet you and your Mum and baby Harrison. So glad you went first cos Freddy couldnt find my port and I was in there for quite a while. I dont have any restriction either :crying: I havent seen Wishful since that day, I think she had pc trouble. I have my first fill with Michael VDB on 9th may, wish it was earlier, but he's booked up.
