  3. Baritastic. Still using it every day to track calorie, water and vitamins intake. Love it.
  4. Click on your profile name (top right corner), then select "My tickers". Tickers are a graphic representation of the numbers you put in the "Progress" tab under "My Surgery" (also found under your profile).
  5. I'm 11 months out of sleeve surgery. I came to build a routine in what I eat, and I absolutely enjoy every meal. Even if it's exactly the same as yesterday. I love it. Here's what I eat in a day (and the day after, and the one after.... 🙂 Breakfast: 2 eggs, 4 oz of diced lean ham (pork or turkey, or a turkey patty), 1 oz leek, 1 oz sweet peppers, all scrambled together. Add 6-8 cherry tomatoes and an espresso with 1 oz of 2% milk. Lunch: 5 oz of lean meat (chicken breast, pork loin, beef sirloin) grilled or pan seared, 2 cups of shredded fresh cabbage, one tablespoon of light mayonnaise Dinner: 5 oz of fish (cod, mahi, salmon, tuna, shrimp) and 1 cup of sliced zucchini or snap peas, all pan seared together, plus one Danon Light&Fit yogurt. That's about 1100 calories a day. Throw in the occasional apple or cup of berries, and it's 1200 calories, all in. And that's ALL I've been eating for the last 10 months. The only variation is the type of meat or fish I have. Or what flavor yogurt I choose. I'm not bored, and I look forward to every meal. It makes it easy to shop for and cook. Do yourself a huge favour and throw away ALL the crisps, cakes and any other greasy or sugary snacks you may have in the house. Then don't buy them again. If you really must snack, bite into an apple, or chew on a carrot. It keeps the mouth busy, without adding much caloric content. Oh, and I drink a gallon of water a day, to stave off constipation. Hang in there, believe in yourself, and maybe talk to a therapist or a friend about it.

    Postoperative surgery questions!

Congrats on the surgery and happy recovery! Don't worry about the water, yet. 32 oz for day 1 should be OK. You're still full of the IV saline they pumped into you during the surgery and hospital stay. Now, it is important to keep a bottle near you at all times, and take small sips every 10-15 minutes or so (1-2 oz at a time). Do that ALL DAY, all waking hours. You'll see that the ounces slowly add up.
  7. I used to never eat breakfast before surgery. Now it’s my favorite (and biggest) meal of the day. First thing in the morning is 24oz of water with a squirt of Crystal Light and my multivitamins. Then, my typical breakfast.

  9. You're most welcome.! I tolerated them well, yes. I mean, they're not ambrosia... but they went down OK. They have a slight citrus flavor. Usually, nutritionist/surgeon offices have a ton of samples from vitamin vendors. You could ask your team if they have any samples, and taste a few before the surgery and decide if you can tolerate them.
  10. I took these (1 per day) for the first 3 months, then switched to the capsule form (2 capsules per day). https://unjury.com/vitamins/opurity-bypass-sleeve-optimized-chewable-new-formulation/ It's got everything you need, including iron, except calcium which you need to take separately. Just make sure you space the multivitamin and the calcium by 3 hours, to ensure optimal absorption.

    The stomach left behind...

From here: https://www.ecommunity.com/services/community-bariatric-and-medical-weight-loss-services/faq/after-surgery " What happens to the lower part of the stomach that is bypassed? The stomach is left in place with intact blood supply. In some cases it may shrink a bit and its lining (the mucosa) may atrophy, but for the most part it remains unchanged. The lower stomach still contributes to the function of the intestines even though it does not receive or process food—it makes intrinsic factor, which is necessary to absorb vitamin B12, and contributes to hormone balance and motility of the intestines in ways that are not entirely known. "
  12. I never took a break from my APAP. They even asked me to bring it with me in the hospital, and I used it almost continuously, dosing off in my bed most of the time.
  13. Welcome to the forum! Relax, it's normal. Search this forum for "three weeks stall" or just "stall". We've all been thru it. Just stick with your eating routine and the weight loss will get going again.

    How you doin'?... 😁

No BM for 8 days. But TODAY

I had to up my water intake to a gallon a day, and take 5 fiber gummies, to solve the constipation problem.
  16. Congrats for dropping 800+ pounds of mostly toxic tissue, just like that! 😉 Don't worry about it, you're young and getting healthier, and you'll meet plenty of new people who will appreciate you for your positive attitude and the efforts you make to improve your life. As a subtle (or not... 😈) FU, I'd mail my entire (now obsolete) wardrobe to my former "friends", with a note saying something like "I don't need these anymore, and I know how much you liked them. Enjoy!" 😂 Keep up the good work, stay true to YOUR course and make new friends!
  17. Lost 26 lbs in the pre-op liquid diet phase, then post-op: 26lbs in 30 days, 44 lbs in 60 days and 63 lbs in 90 days. It then slowed down from there.... I lose some 8-10 lbs per month now.

    Fruit/Veggie Skin

Never peeled any veggies or fruit. Tomatoes (big and cherry), cucumbers, grapes, apples, pears, peaches, etc. Never had any stomach issues with them, and they're good fiber for your colon.
  19. Welcome! Portion control is key. Start logging everything you put in your mouth in an app like Baritastic or MyFitnessPal. Aim to stay below 1,000-1,200 calories a day, making sure you get at least 80-100g of protein a day, and 80-90oz of water (or non-calorie drinks) a day. You'll see the scale move, guaranteed. If you still have a few good months until surgery (6-7 months) and you want to ease into the weight loss, start by measuring a "normal" meals day now, and then reduce 100-150 cal/day, each week, aiming to get below 1,000 cal/day at least 4 weeks before the actual surgery date. Good luck, and come back here for support and advice. You can do it!!!
  20. Almost 9 months out. I can eat 4-5 oz of lean meat and 1 cup of dense veggies, cooked (spinach, zucchini, snap peas, etc) or two cups of fluffy veggies, raw (shredded cabbage, greens, salads, etc). 280-300 calories per meal (900-1,000 per day). A gallon of water/day. Still losing, but slower.

    Water intake?

    If I don't drink 128 oz/day, I get constipated. 8 months out of surgery.
