Omg why though? Mine is 15th and how on earth can u handle this? I can't imagine.

I was devastated, believe me. But I am in Florida and it is crazy down here at the moment. I am trying not to be selfish, I know hospital beds are going to others with much more important agendas right now. Its a week by week things the scheduler told me so lets hope I can get rescheduled in a few weeks!

I'm sorry! I know how devastating that feels. I was cancelled one week before mine that was scheduled April 1st. I finally got a reschedule and had it done june 24th. hang in there. I know its frustrating. it will happen though. I just looked at it like more practice for the lifestyle change. and I found it actually helped a little and gave me a little more time just keep adjusting and working on the mental part. hope you get rescheduled soon.

Thank you, yes I cried a bit. not much. I know it'll eventually happen. I will keep up with the diet and maybe start incorporating some exercises into my routine.

Oh no!!! Boo!!! Fingers crossed things get better down there soon and you are back on the schedule!!

Thanks girl, yeah I was super bummed, but im not the only person going through it. My date was so close, so hopefully I am on the top of the list for reschedule.

  4. My surgery was cancelled 3 days before!! I was so upset. I'm going to stick with the liquid diet but not be so strict. I don't know when my surgery will be at this time. I'm upset, but I understand. I just keep in mind that I am approved for the surgery, the hard part is over, just the waiting game now. I m ight start back up at the gym or do 30 minute walking sessions a day if I can. But its so hard with my shifts at work.

  5. I was approved. Just needed 4 months with nutritionist with 1 pound of weight loss. I started in Jan. So I don't know if I was grandfathered in or not. It was really easy to get approved with Aetna for me. No crazy hoops to jump through. Just needed a psych eval that I did online. A scan of my gallbladder and and H. Pylori test, that was it.

Girl LOL I did the same thing! I emailed them vs calling but she was like the dr needs to review everything and then we will call you to schedule. They did tell me he's out of the office till next week so it would be next week sometime before I hear back. I can't wait. Are you pre op or post?

That's so funny. I am pre op. My surgery date is july 14th. Ive started my pre op diet and everything. Its going by fast. It will for you too!

So I thought my July 23 surgery would be cancelled because Travis County, Texas, where my doctor's office is located, cannot have elective surgeries due to COVID. It turns out my hospital is in Williamson County, so I'm still on... but the governor is adding counties to the elective surgery ban as their hospital beds near capacity. Williamson County borders Travis County, so I'm proceeding as usual for now but my surgery might get cancelled at any time. I'm supposed to start my pre-op diet in a week.

gosh, isn't it just terrible. My state florida has had a lot of new cases too. It scares me that mine will be cancelled too. But im staying positive. No news is good news.

so I am 2 days post op. just came home late last night. I wish I could say it was prefect but i'd be lying. I spent the entire night in the hospital in excruciating pain from muscle spsams from my new pouch which set off spasms in a disc in my back. I literally stayed on my fee from 7pm to 6am next day because sitting or laying hurt too much. once they got it figured out it starter to get better. I am home and still in quite a bit if abdominal pain which wears me out pretty quick. other than that fluids go down- but I have to keep taking anti-spasm meds otherwise it hurts . im hoping I improve quickly-;I knew it was going to be easy, but I didn't think it would be this bad either lol.

You are in our thoughts! This will all be worth it in the end! I hope your spasms don't last that long!
